I wanted to make contact with people who are members of an ELS church.

My family joined a small congregation about four years ago and have been loving it ever since.

I think you may be the only one. There are some WELS people in here though.

The rest of us are LCMS as far as I know.

Oh I did not know that. I know we discussed the TAALC a bit but I didn't know anyone was actually a part of it.

Who's the Lutheran Brethren? Where are they at in the Lutheran world (Doctrinally speaking)? I'm not terribly familiar with their church body.

Edit: Ok just read this off of Wikipedia. . . Sounds very protestant. . .

It has been noted for practicing open communion, teaching premillennialism, allowing women's suffrage, and not having the laity receive absolution from the pastor.

So, who is your Pastor? I know quite a few in the Synod as several have vicared at our little church over the years. Do you happen to know Pastor Alex Ring? I believe he has a congregation in Washington- a ways from you, I know, but I am guessing you are in the same circuit?
