  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I now know there is an anime section here which is good... but I see no mlp thing for christians... are there any Christian bronies out there? I never met a brony of my same religion, and I want to make people's aquantence.

RULES: keep it kid friendly... meaning no rated R fan-fics such as Rainbow Factory, Cupcakes, and clop (mlp porn, I am too scared to google it, thus I have no titles under clop).

and for those who think that bronies are only unusual people...

Out there, yes. I know a few in my area, though we mostly play D&D as of recently.

I'm a fellow Brony, if that is sufficient. Excited about Friendship Games in the fall, along with hopefully the second half of S5.

I'm not going to pretend the 80s show was well written, though if I may say so, it seems far better written than the 2 that followed it and preceded G4. But Friendship Is Magic is considered distinct because, in spite of being written partly for selling products, it also stands well enough on its own.

Oh, you're in the "MLP is for kids" crowd? That's not tired and debunked to heck and back: demographics aren't an absolute determinant for a show, even if they can be the source of more profit by comparison. Men can enjoy romance, women can enjoy action and people of various ages can enjoy cartoons. And don't even start on that unmanly thing, because men who are in touch with their emotions are far more manly than someone who puffs up their chest and acts macho but doesn't even know the rough basics of putting together an outfit or can listen to someone and comfort them.

This is a subforum of people watching anime, which is still, for the most part, not nearly as mainstream in Japan as manga. And is still stereotyped to no end in America as "weeaboos"

Consider that in contrast with America, where we still arguably see comics as more niche even with the popularity of film adaptations through the MCU.

You don't have to be a fan of MLP in any form (I would agree with you to not be a fan of G2; which is apparently just 1.5, technically, but G2 sounds better; and G3 and 3.5 [very short lived for a reason]), but you could at least be a bit less flippant in your reflection of how you don't like it.

I may never watch Steven Universe (I want to, but just haven't made the time), but that doesn't mean I get to make off color gay jokes or something at their expense anymore than someone who doesn't watch Adventure Time can make some obnoxious statement about them. We're all awesome as fans, we should be awesome to each other.
