Anyone Heard of Apologetix?

I don't know too many people who know of Apologetix. They take secular songs and give them Christian lyrics. I really like their stuff. They do several genres: country, oldies, rap, etc. Anyone know who I'm talking about?

I've been listening to them since 1997 or so and love 'em. I was a rep way back when and actually gave out their CDs to local Christian stores. I've used some of their stuff to get peoples' attention and use it as a witnissing tool.

they reproduce the sounds of the original arist very well. my problem is that i don't know enough old secular music to truly appreciate them.

yeah I've recently heard of em, actually I heard about them on CF. I think they're pretty cool.

They're totally amazing! I work at a christian radio station here in Oz and we organised an interview with them late last year - they sent us heaps of cds to give away - and the best news, they're coming to Australia in 2006!

They are extreemly talented people - as already stated, they reproduce the sound of the originals really well. and their lyrics are right outta the bible.

One of my favorites is "La Bible" where the song is literally saying the name of every book in the bible, in order - it's very very clever

I'd highly recommend this group to anyone - and the do cover a very wide range of styles - even modern stuff.

Their song, Downer of a Sister is cool. They have some ok songs, but most I don't care for. One song they did a really good job on was, JC's Mom. Funny, funny!

Yeah, they can be. I certainly wouldn't want a whole slew of copycat acts, but they have carved out their own little niche and they do it well. I was (and still am) thankful to exchange some of the less-than-edifying lyrics that once filled my head.

I really enjoy this band, planning on seeing them on the 4th of July. Also been trying to host a concert though raising the money is a bit difficult.

Karl is awesome with the guitar! And they are a great witness! Recently bought their Samson Comes Alive DVD and am really enjoying it.

Someone gave my their most recent cd and I can barely get through it. It's an idea that probably sounded good when they were sitting around discussing it but just doesn't work in practice.

Just looked at Amazon--I'm pretty sure Adam Up is the one I have.
