I think you're thinking of the roads in Dartmouth. Over in Halifax we say that Dartmouth was designed by a blind man with an ear infection. The roads don't make any kind of sense to me over there but Halifax I don't find difficult at all. I could find my way around this city with my eyes closed.... but then again can't everyone in their own city?
Ever been to the MacDonald's on Quinpool? I worked there for 3 years. :)

Hey folks from NS!

I have never been there, but am thinking of stopping there for a few days on my holidays.

If I go, it looks like I will be staying in the Halifax area.

Please, are there any suggestions of places to visit? I like beaches and historical sites.

Gotta go to Peggy's Cove. :)

Citadel Hill is nice to, well in the daytime.

If you want some real history head on up to Cape Breton. Fortress Louisburg is amazing. Fully restored French fort from the early 1700's. And the worker's are all in character. Its a wonderful experience, like stepping back in time.

Yeah, they have that down in Digby or wherever we went in grade 4. We also went to Fort Anne.

Check out these sites:
http://www.halifax.worldweb.com/

There is lots to see and do in the Halifax area. Louisbourg and Digby are nice but are approx 5 1/2 & 2 1/2 hours away respectively (http://novascotia.com/en/home/planatrip/distancecalculator.aspx)

You don't have to go that far, the Halifax region has a lot for a first timer. (Has some great pubs too, but maybe that might only interest someone like me ;) )

Thank you. I have visited those sites before. Although they are great sites, there are so many options. I just like to learn what people from the area think are truly the best sites to visit.
