Anyone else just wish The Lord would come back and get us soon ?

I have the same longing. We have to wait for God's perfect timing. While on earth, God has work for us to do. Have you ever tried evangelizing? Maybe handing out Bible literature? That is a good way to stay engaged for the work of the kingdom. We should work to win souls for the kingdom while we live here on earth. The word of God says that we should occupy until He comes to get us. That means, He needs to find us busy doing the work of the kingdom when He comes for us.

I've been reading N. T. Wright lately, so I'm going to say it differently: I'm ready for Jesus to come back and heal the entirety of creation, including fixing all of our human screwups, so that we will see creation as it was meant to be, with God's will being done on earth as in heaven.

He said to occupy until I come... and
Redeeming the time.

Make good use of this time. I have numerous projects that I work. I try not to waste the time, but I am ever looking for the signs of His coming. By His coming or my passing. To enter into that rest. To be free of this darkness and constant fighting, confusion, and sorrow. I hold back anything that might sound like murmuring. That is nothing more than a complaint against the Lord.

Selfishly, I often feel I am ready to go ... not so hard to do as an older person who has been blessed with many years ...
but, too many persons I know are not yet saved. They need more time.

So for the sake of the many that do not yet know Him ...
I patiently trust in God's timing, hoping and praying for the salvation of many, many more.

Hmm... Murmuring as a complaint against the Lord... I have struggled with the character flaw of complaining, much to my own detriment. God have mercy on me!

It is a human trait that we all struggle against. Daily frustrations and problems. Hopes that are dashed. Dreams that fail. All these contribute to the dragging down of our countenance. Be brave saint. We remember that we are not of this world. Psalms 103 says we are just grass that soon withers away and is forgotten. I am approaching 70 years old. It seems the weeks are like days, and the days pass by almost unnoticed.
Yes, the same chapter says He knows our frame, that we are but dust.

Psalms 103:14-17 KJV
14. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

So be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. We are all but finished on this earth, and as the OP prompts, we are almost there!

Ephesians 6:10 KJV
10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Amen. Yes, the signs are all there that the time of Christ's return draws ever nearer. A few years, maybe, not even decades left, as the signs from the book of Revelation unfold before our very eyes.

HAHA praise GOD love this! But having kids.. if one was lost... I would send a life time trying to find them. So this is His creation His children (how I look at it) so.. take all the "time" He wants.. I am already living forever. So I am still here for reason...HELLO GOD? Are you up there? haha just playing. Just reminded me of a Christian rapper part of the song about those that don't believe.. "I look around at this world we walk on
It's a smack in the face, don't ever tell me there's no God And if there isn't then what are we here for? And what are y'all doing down there? I don't know Lord"

One of the benefits of Reformed Theology is the implication, that since one is still in the world, God is not through with his use of that one, to include, (though not exclusively), his building that particular one for his particular place, as a member of the Bride of Christ upon glorification.

In other words, though you may 'feel' ready, you aren't, yet. God is not done with you.

Yes, as Christians we should all have that desire / longing.

But in the meantime: we should know his timing his perfect & b/c of that, we must do what it is we know he’s calling us to do, & not fret about his return! He will be faithful, we must do our duty.

Why are you over the world? Yes, there’s a lot of bad & evil, but there’s so much good, & as a result a lot of good to enjoy from him, & work to be done too!!

Matt 24 "THIS Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world AND THEN shall the end come".

We are tire of this old world - that is true. But there is something we can do to help hasten its end. Share the Gospel

Unable to find it but there's a Scripture about longing for His return. Though understand about the real concern for family, friends and others. Praying and asking for His help "..for their minds have been blinded by the god of this age, leaving them in unbelief. Their blindness keeps them from seeing the dayspring light of the wonderful news of the glory of Jesus Christ, who is the divine image of God." (II Cor 4:4).
