Just wondering if anyone else feels super sensitive to "things" throwing them off, causing them to get more OCD symptoms?
Example: The other night I joined a friend for a bible study. It went WAY later than I was expecting and I didn't get to bed until 11:00. I have a 7-month old, so I have to get up early with him. The next day, I had a much harder time with increased OCD thoughts and not being able to blow them off like I often can. I also felt negative and hopeless ("I'll ALWAYS be dealing with this stupid OCD stuff!")
It seems like the littlest thing, lack of sleep, too many sweets, refined carbs, not taking my supplements (for increased seratonin), watching a scary movie, all set me off. Now I'm trying to figure out if I have a wheat or gluten sensitivity and feel like if I eat those foods, I have increased OCD thoughts.
Anyone else deal with trying to always manage this "perfect balance" so that you can manage your OCD symptoms, or is it just me?
