I blush really badly sometimes. Especially when I get angry over something little and then cool down enough to see my mistakes. I don't know about you, but it is not as bad as it feels. Sometimes my face feels on fire, but it only looks a little red. Hope this helps!

I know exactly what you blushers are going through. I began blushing at 13. After about 30 years of it, I knew it had pretty much ruined my life. Due to blushing: I lost jobs and friends. There were times I couldn't even request prayer for loved ones! People thought I was lying most of the time, and it was overall humiliating! It was not cute, endearing, or redness of cheeks. I truly believe it is a physical AND mental problem, not to mention pure torture. People without this problem don't have a clue what it's like even though they try to help. I tried relaxation and all the other things which will probably be suggested to you. The only thing that worked was prayer. After becoming suicidally depressed, my husband admitted me to a therapeutic dept in a good local hospital. The Lord led us to an excellent psychiatrist in the yellow pages! In the hospital I had "classes" on panic attacks & self-esteem issues. I knew those were NOT going to be the final answer especially after living with the blushing curse all my life. Then my psychiatrist prescribed a combination of anti-depressants. That was 5 years ago, and I can speak in front of an audience, sing in church, attend fellowships, hold down a job, etc. All without fear of people thinking "WHAT is wrong with her??!"
Prayer led me and my husband in the right direction. I'm not saying you should rush out and get drugs. Really, I don't know what to say except this is my story and I'm sooo thankful to my Savior for His healing touch.
God has plans for you. Keep the faith and don't give up!

It happens to me also especially when i have to give a presentation or something and all eyes are on me. But the odd thing is is that i am very outspoken and have a lot of friends and my social skills are fairly well, but when i get up there and do my thing...i become completely red...and when i think about it it gets worse...hheellpp!!!

I hate it when this happens to me. Not all the time, but sometimes when attention is put on me, I get nervous, sweat a little, and start blushing. Once I realize I'm blushing, I blush even more. Anyone know of any remedy for the blushing? It's maddening as I'm not or at least I don't feel shy. ???

TIA!
this might actually be good. (being able to blush)

I have this problem too. I thought I was the only one!!! Its so aggrivating. I want so badly to talk to people and be able to raise my hand in church to give a prayer request or not blush in front of others while talking etc etc. As soon as my pastor or someone comes up and says hey I blush. My face feels soooooo hot and my hands get sweaty and I get nervous. I dont know why b/c im not shy or embarrassed. I just get red, nervous and hands sweat. Like its all a physical reaction...but inside Im fine except for feeling flushed. Is there anything or herb or something that can help this? Even when Im by myself I have lots of spells of blushing...could it be hot flashes?

hee hee, when I saw the name of this one I decided I must post, simply to comiserate! Y'all, we really shouldn't feel so bad about this! I mean, so many of us do it!! ;)
I'm not sure why it happens, but I figure, worrying about it just makes it worse (like so many other things!) and so I just let myself turn red, and try to laugh along with the others, or leave the room! :p
