Anybody use Netflix? or rent movies on a regular basis?

I found about this in a letter from the American Family Association (AFA). I think it's a great idea. Right now I only rent a move once every few months so a membership wouldn't be the best thing for me at this point (maybe sometime after the wedding).

I know that there are alot of people with children (and even those of us without) out there that would prefer to get movies edited professionally than to risk their child seeing something they shoulden't.

I read an article about this years ago in a Christian magazine. Of course, at that time they were only doing it as a service to the owners of movies. You would send in your movies and they would edit them for you. They have come a long way!

I have used NetFlix and Blockbuster Direct. NetFlix is best. You get the movies ten times quicker and they rarely have movies out of stock with NetFlix. Blockbuster takes 7-10 days to get the movies and the ones you want are never available.

If this is as good as NetFlix, I'd sign up. Not a bad offer! Thanks for posting it!

If they edited out the bad stuff or language in the movies today we wouldn't even be able to watch the trailers. I like the idea though!

my friends use netflix and really enjoy it. This thing sounds like a good thing though the language in a movie, while it can be robust, I can handle it because a movie is supposed to convey the thoughts and emotions of the character. However, I would love to watch movies without the psuedo-porn throughout them.

It would be funny if they could blackout those scenes while displaying these scriptures in bold white for the duration of the sex scene:

Some language I can handle, other stuff I'd rather do with out. When someone takes our Lord's name in vain it really grates at me. There are a few other words I could do with out too.

yea I dont appreciate the flippant invoking of the Lord's name either. Sadly, it even happens in Bible college.
