I thought it was really good. I think it will do well, obviously nowhere near the success that Freinds had. But it stands pretty good on it's own...a few cameos by the rest of the gang every now and then for a big ratings pop will be enough to keep it going for at least a few seasons.

I think the character of Joey's nephew Michael will probably take over Chandler's role as the sarcastic, yet supportive roommate. And Drea is very good as his sister. I will definately keep my eye on this one.

I wasn't aware that it had already been on. When did it start and who's network is it aired on?

Happy Birthday Shmody. Did you design that yourself? And if so, do you put it on all your posts?
The piolt has been available to download a few weeks prior to it's premiere, that's how I saw it.

And no, apparently CF puts that on all my posts today.

And thanks.

I refuse to watch something this retarded. I'm sorry. I never found Friends the least bit funny and this seems to be another mindless American comedy that fails to do something different. BAH.

It's alright. And could be better. But, for some reason, they are making Joey out to be, if it was possible, even more dense then before.

I'll give a few shows...See how it goes.
In some ways I agree with you there..but I was so afraid that they were going to revert to first season Joey, meaning stupid and insensitive, that I'm glad that they just made him a little more dense then before, but kept that sensitive side for the last couple of seasons of Friends. Plus he has his moments of great insight, very rarely. Also they had to exagerate his character a little bit since it's just him for the most part.

Well, so that's good to hear. I like it when comedy can take the high road. There are many things funny where you don't have to be crude. too many sitcoms don't seem to realize this.

Did you know that Joey wasn't written to be dense? His character just evolved in that direction.

I really think that Joey is going to have a hard time without Chandler to play off of. Too bad they couldn't have incorportaed them somehow. And personally, I think Pheobe should have been the one with the spin off. Her character was the really funny one.

Oh well, I'm not going to watch this show while Survivor is on. I'm not even sure if I'm going to tape it. I would like to see it. But from the mixed emotions on this thread, I'm not really sure if it's worth the effort.

Oh and to the remark about Friends being crude? (implied). I disagree. The show's writing was supposed to be somewhat indicitive of reality, not sheltered from the world, Christian reality. ;)
