  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Without white sugar or without sugar at all? You can take a number of recipes and exchange the white sugar with maple syrup, the milk with soy milk and the eggs with replacer. We do this quite a bit to accommodate the different dietary needs in our house. Things like cobblers are easy to convert.

without any sort of processed sugar preferably. I've got fibromyalgia and for some reason my body doesn't handle sugar very well so the less sugar the better, hehe. i did some looking around last night after i posted this thread for natural alternatives and came across something called date sugar (which i guess isn't actually a sugar but gound up dates? ) but i know nothing about that and never heard of it until last night lol

Don't have any recipes, but there is a book I want to get that accompanies the book that made me decide to go vegan. I can't say the name here, since there's profanity in the title, but the names of the authors Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin

partially, i'm trying out a new diet (just started yesterday ) to see if it helps with my health at all. I'm still allowed to eat some white meat but its mostly vegan.
I can tell you it will. Don't know your health issues but mines were pretty miner and the improved dramatically after I gave up animal products.

Have you seen this?
A family member of mine who has FM has gone vegan and gluten free and her life went from manageable to enjoyable again. I skimmed it as a veggie in a house with a Celiac and another casein intolerant child. It looks really interesting. I might get it myself.

okay i ordered that cookbook and there are some really good sounding recipes i'm dying to try but so many of them call for agave nectar in place of sugar. i've never tried it personally and i'm going out to the health store next chance i get to see if i can find some but just wondering if anybody tried it and if they liked it? :)
