Anybody know of some good support sites for mental illness? Along with this one?

I should visit the Recovery section more often. I used to post on a particular forum specifically for people with psychological issues, but I left that site because someone called having religious beliefs a mental illness, and the mods let that stand. So I don't have that avenue anymore, and I will be coming here for Recovery posts. Does anyone know of other good websites for mental health recovery?

Well, one might find other places, but here the Moderators can protect one from abuse, which might not happen at some sites. I see you are in Washington --so am I. Look up always, and put the Lord Jesus first in your life and stay close to Him as your best friend.

Well, thank you for the endorsement, watchman. What drove me away from that other site was someone's answer to a conversational survey question. The OP had asked, among other things, "What are your religious beliefs?" The answer that offended me was, "LOL, I already have one mental illness. Why do I want another one?" I can guarantee that mods here would have done something about that statement! But there, it was allowed to stand. I check back sometimes, and yes, it's still there. I don't feel safe posting somewhere that mods will allow that flame.

I'm glad you feel that this is a good place to post. I think so too, but it would be nice to find others along with it.

I can't remember the name of it but encountered something similar a few years back on a mental health care forum. A lot of the people have big issues with religion on there so can be hostile toward that - many are angry at God because of their struggles and conditions, or other negative influences from it growing up

I have seen this often also.
