Any thoughts about this dream?

Hi everyone,

Over the last month or so, both my wife and I have had some curious dreams revolving around money and gifts.

1. About a month ago I had a dream where it was raining chocolate and chocolate candies -- (I'm not a sweets kind of person, I enjoy them from time to time but not enough to dream about them).

2. About 1 week ago, I had a dream about a guy delievering 4,000 worth of Sees Candies to our apartment. I told him I had no way of paying for it, and he said "it's a gift".

3. A few days ago my wife then had a dream that a lady was depositing 12,000 into our account.

4. Last night, I had a strange dream: We (my wife and I) were going throught the bank drive through to deposit a very small amount of money. When I got the return tube, there was a pretty good amount of cash in there -- about 3-5 thousand dollars. It was mostly 20's mixed in with 100 dollar bills and even some 1,000 dollar bills. It also had a lighter in there with the person's name inscribed on it.

The temptation was very strong to deposit the money as our own, but I made the decision to go into the bank and report it as lost money. We had to stand in a long line to get to the teller, and as we waited the temptation to simply leave with the money got stronger and stronger. Right as we were about to get to the teller my wife said "Let's just keep this, we found it". I told her no, that would be stealing and it was not our money to keep.

As we were telling the bank teller the problem, others were listening. One man said "You're crazy, I would have kept that money". He then went on to state that he was the editor of a newspaper in a city far from where we lived (but in the same state). He said he wanted to write an article on this incident and how we returned the money. I agreed.

As I said this, somehow a couple that was standing behind him began to take credit for the return of the money. They were doing it right in front of me. I didn't say anything, and they just kept talking about everything that they had done.

At the end of the dream, I addressed this couple and told them what they had done was not right -- it turned out they were extended family. The man had my name, spelled differently. They received what I had to say, but refused to tell the editor what really happened. I told them, that's fine if you want to take credit, but if you cannot be trusted with little, how can you be trusted with much?

A few days later I was at the same bank, and an elderly lady was walking toward me. I heard the narration of the editor's story like I was listening to it on the radio, talking about how that money was intended to pay for the treatment of a rare skin disease. The elderly lady was the woman to whom the money belonged. She walked right by me with a big smile on her face (she wasn't looking at me, she was just smiling) and I didn't say a thing.

End.

P.S. My wife is a person of great integrity so what she said in the dream was definately out of character.

There's some great stuff here EyeSee.. I will comment on that which I believe Abba is referring to:

1. About a month ago I had a dream where it was raining chocolate and chocolate candies
Chocolate in dreams can refer to "richness". Also, Candy can reference grace, healing, sweetness of God, His loving kindness, tender mercy {ie: I often get candy in dreams just before or after I'm about to go through something difficult - It's the Lord showing me He is tempering the difficult things with His loving kindness, it makes things less painful}
Recently Abba gave me a dream about my car being covered in a hard shell of chocolate.. I had no idea what this meant and questioned Him for days about it. Finally one day He just blurted out that something covered in hard chocolate is symbolic of anointing - He'd been showing me that my life is covered by His anointing, presence, and grace.

2. About 1 week ago, I had a dream about a guy delievering 4,000 worth of Sees Candies to our apartment. I told him I had no way of paying for it, and he said "it's a gift".
I believe Abba is giving you a SEER & healing gifting or an increase in that gifting. The #4 symbolizes 'the taking of new territory'. When something is delivered to us it speaks most often as being 'delivered' from something, or the delivery of a heavenly gifting = In this case the latter applies. The #4000 is 4 multiplied..so I gather you may already have the gifting and it is being increased (multiplied)

3. A few days ago my wife then had a dream that a lady was depositing 12,000 into our account.
Again, the number seems to be a reference to multiplication. 12 is the number that promises flow through = It appears there are some promises from Papa to your wife which are about to come to pass.. it may be monetary, or have something to do with her spiritual bank account growing

I will take a look at the other dream later, it will take more time to interpret. I pray you have been blessed by the above and find it insightful. God bless you both,

EyeSee - This feedback blessed me very much, thank you. It helps to receive feedback, even if it's to say we didn't quite get something right. Feedback helps us grow. And of course, when it is accurate the Glory goes to Papa who enables us. He is so precious.

Here's what I'm getting for an Interp: A bank can symbolize a place of security. Money here seems to symbolize "credit"..if you were to deposit it into your account it would be a "credit" to the balance. So it appears whenever this comes to pass, you’ve been given an amount of credit, but not "full credit" for something.
The denominations of the money speak as their # meanings = 20 can indicate a "crowning accomplishment" .. 100 speaks of fruitfulness and maturity .. and 1000 refers to perfection & mature service.
So what I’m seeing here is that there will be a temptation in regards to deceiving people (stealing = deceiving) or making people think you accomplished or did something someone else actually did by taking full credit for some large achievement which in reality you may only be partially responsible for. I view your wife as symbolizing someone in the church or part of the church body who encourages you to take credit for this thing (tsk tsk! lol).
Although the temptation will be strong and although you stall or go back & forth on the matter in your mind for awhile with further temptation (the man telling you he'd have kept the money) you'll decide to do the right thing - You will tell others about it (the newspaper symbolizes an announcement, knowledge, & public exposure).
This entire scenario is being used to bring an end to your flesh (skin disease). As this unfolds, it will make for a healthy inner man/spirit. The condition of one’s skin/flesh is directly connected with the health of our spirit. Oh, and the lighter at the beginning of the dream: This symbolizes a catalyst - Specifically it symbolizes the catalyst for a refining fire as this situation will be used by the Lord to refine you further in Him. The name on the lighter is yours, although Abba didn’t let you see that – you are marked for refining (inscription = marked).
You may not know or recognize this as it happens, but once it’s over I believe you will see the correlation to the dream (He does that with me a lot).

Once again, I think you are spot on. I have been in a prolonged trial (2 years) where God is definately burning away my dependence on anything but Him. God has me in a refiner's fire and the heat is at (I hope) the maximum level possible.

It's not pleasant, but it's a good thing. The taking credit for something definately speaks to me about a work situation. My wife also saw this dream as speaking to "unjust gain". What you said and what she said both agree.

The thing is, my work is pretty menial, but I give it 100% effort (and I'm complimented all of the time by clients that I work with) because I want to be blameless as it pertains to being a believer (you know christians have a pretty bad rap generally as employees). For all of this praise I receive for the job that I do, nothing ever comes of it. No raise, no nothing.

I KNOW that this is a God thing. The temptation is enourmous to go brag on myself about this or that for the sake of advancing myself (by taking more credit for what I do than I deserve). I was listening to a message that is part of a series at my church called "Dream to Destiny". Every night that I go to bed, I ask God to speak to me through a sermon that I listen to. I pick the sermons at random. Over the last several nights, I keep picking the EXACT SAME SERMON AT RANDOM. It's called "The prison test" regarding Joseph in the prison.

I have listened to this sermon FOUR TIMES. You know how you can listen to a message or read something and glean something new each time? That's what's been happening. Last night, the pastor was saying something that God just put his finger on. He was saying that he believed that Joseph could have got out of prison earlier than when he did (I was like whaaaaat ).

He said (and he said "this is just my opinion, but I want you to think about this") Joseph gave the baker and the butler an interpretation of their dreams. THEN, Joseph told the baker "But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison. I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon.”

The pastor went on to say how curious it was that the butler DID forget about Joseph and TWO YEARS LATER Pharaoh had a dream. He said "I have a question -- who gave Pharaoh that dream? God did. I have another question -- why didn't God give Pharaoh that dream two days after Joseph interpreted the butler's dream and not two years after Joseph interpreted the butler's dream (since the interpretation of Pharaoh's dream was what God used to bring Joseph out of prison)".

The pastor then went on to say that he believed God left him there an additional two years because Joseph tried to manipulate the situation in order to get out of prison. If God would have released him from prison, then Joseph would have believed that you deal with hard times by appealing to man and you get delievered by men through manipulation.

Granted all of this was his "opinion" but .... it sure rings true to me. I have a co-worker who is always trying to get me to talk to this person or talk to that person (people who are high level in the company) and the Lord always says "No. I don't want you to do that; when I am ready to promote you, I will promote you, not men."

Wow ... just WOW... all of this is coming together. I must say this is the most difficult trial I have ever been through in my twenty years as a believer - BUT ... I know God is in it and there's a strange peace and contentment that I have just knowing that. My Abba and I have been bonding like never before through it all.

So I'm not the only Joseph out there huh? The Lord has shown me I'm in a Joseph situation as well.. a bit different from yours. You know how Joseph told his family about the dreams he had and his brothers got mad and threw him in the pit? Well 8 months ago I was telling my family what certain dreams meant and they decided I lost my mind..lol. What a hard way to discover that not all Christians believe in the gifts of God! Six of my family are 'worldly Christians'. Additionally, I began to recall memories of being abused as a child and my family claim it never happened so this also means I've lost my mind. I've been homeless ever since, the Lord doesn't want me near my family while He works on their hearts. I feel like I don't belong anywhere.. I bet that's how Joseph felt. I'll have to remember to not ask for recognition when I interpret dreams for people! haha! - thanks for that info!

There are a number of Joseph's who are going through these types of trials.. but once the tests are passed while we are "in prison" and struggling in the desert, Abba says there will be a very large reward. He's made me many promises to this end and I must say, He has strengthened me in an amazing way.

I'm so sorry -- nothing hurts more than being rejected by those who are supposed to love you the most. As I write this, something my pastor from back home said comes to mind. He used to say "I don't know why this is, but it seems that in order for God to use someone mightily, he must allow them to be hurt deeply".

I don't know if that is always true but it sure has proven true in the life of every minister I know. It seems that the most favorite tools of the enemy are rejection and betrayal -- it's bad enough when that comes from your own family, but it's even worse when it comes from those who name the name of Jesus. Some time I will tell you about the stunt my "brothers and sisters in christ" pulled on my wife and I the evening before we were to be married. I still hurt when I think about it and that was sixteen years ago. You know God pulled a major thorn out of my flesh just a week ago that had to do with that; God showed me what an intricate web of lies I had believed as a result of just one single thing that was said during that awful time. I was shown each lie and how it manifested itself in my thoughts, how I viewed myself , how I viewed others and how those lies affected my life -- I was shocked. Thank you my faithful Father for setting me free from that!!!

Funny thing is that God warned me several weeks beforehand by saying "I will shake the foundations of your marriage". Boy was that ever true. Anyways, I love you as my sister in Christ and I know that everyone here appreciates you

I wrote my second book, COURTING THE KING, after going through one of the most painful family rejections that I have ever experienced in my life. It will be on the market in less than two months. I wrote a chapter on Joseph in it, because I, too, know what it is to have all of my brothers in league against me. It was during this time that my love-walk with Jesus deepened and my understanding of His compassion and mercy expanded. Since that time, God has healed the breach and my brothers have apologized. God is faithful and He uses the tough times to develop our character.

Thank you both for your caring responses. I just saw them. Today I moved again - I was staying in cottages for 3 months when this all happened last summer, thinking the Lord would deal with my family during that time... But He didn't! After I ran out of money renting cottages I ended up in women's shelters.. Me who always worked and was VERY independent and had thousands of dollars of nice clothing, living in homeless shelters with 2 pairs of jeans and a few tops, didn't even have a winter coat! I do have a car though which has been paid off for years so that's good although paying for insurance & gas hasn't always been fun. The Lord has assured me He is going to split the entire past abuse thing WIDE open for me. This is no small thing, of course abuse never is, but this is unusually large. Father says I will write a book on this entire journey and told me to keep a journal. What He didn't tell me was how LONG this would take but I've finally accepted that it may be quite awhile. I've moved 8 times in as many months.. it's not too hard since I hardly own anything. All my worldly belongings are back with my family & I'm not allowed to go near them. This situation I'm in was foretold by Papa in a dream He gave me 2 months prior to it all starting.. Here's the link to that dream if interested in seeing how He told me what was about to happen. ClayVessel = YES it is true and I've never been closer to Abba than I am now.. He is indeed my counsellor and friend and He has been so amazing and faithful. Each time someone attacks me (the enemy sends people to try to discourage me & try to make me give up) He shows up with some cool form of encouragement. He is literally my EVERYTHING and my constant prayer is that He bring me to a place wherein I live in His presence

A lady, whom I consider a true prophet, spoke these words over me when I was going though all of that pain, I think it is for you, too, MP.

"Awake! Awake! And put on the strength of the Lord and let His truth be your shield, as He defends you from those who rise up against you. He shall surround you with His shield of protection, for He shall favor you and His Right Hand (Jesus) shall give you victory as He enlarges your steps and breaks off any limitations and restrictions. For your faith shall grow exceedingly and you will increase with the increase of God as His branches run over every wall erected by the enemy. For He is a God of breakthrough and truth. He will bless the latter end (of your life) as you flourish like a palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Goodness and mercy shall follow you all of the days of your life."

This woman had no idea at all what I was going through and God used her as an instrument of refreshing to my soul. I keep a copy of this still on my refrigerator three years later.

What she said was true. I watched judgement come to all three of my brothers and my sister after their attack on me. God will take care of it for you, my friend.

wow this is definitely applicable to me. I keep all the Words I've been given over the years & they always have come from people who don't know a hoot about me. The last time I posted a word on CF, 'someone' decided to say it was all "flattery" and not fitting with a 'true' word of God - as if they would have a clue what a true word is when all they do is cause dissension ..LOL!

UPDATE: I've deleted the prophetic utterance given to me from the above post because this morning Papa told me to remove it. I should've asked Him about posting it first. He said someone very judgmental will tear it apart, and I do not want to cast my pearls before swine. I'm reminded that some Christians believe they have the gift of discerning of spirits when in fact they just have a judgmental spirit. A judgmental spirit can tear the body apart when combined with a loose tongue (and it usually is!). God only gives discerning of spirits to mature Christians who have demonstrated the commitment to keep their mouth shut and pray. Anyway, I pray Father deals with this person's heart.
