Any old childhood favorites you have recently looked for?

Or wished you could watch again? Heh for me, had a sudden urge to watch a old show I used to watch every rare chance I could find it as a kid, "The littlest Hobo." I remember the rare treat when I would happen to spot it on TV while flipping through channels. Even given a small thought to looking for highway to heaven, as that was another show I remember growing up to.

What about anyone else? Even thought about watching a show I never got into even though it was filmed near me, Beach Combers.

What are old classics, even possibly ones few remember that you've watched old clips of or even looked for?

I just saw an episode of Littlest Hobo the other day. Not nearly as good as I remembered it being when I was kid. And I live in Vancouver, and have been to Gibson's Island and Molly's Reach.

My childhood faves would be The Incredible Hulk and The A-Team. I just found out that one channel shows The A-Team (two episodes!) on the weekends, so I've been PVRing them. Ah, the good old days. Incredible Hulk was probably my favourite, though (even though I couldn't pronounce it and said "Incedidle") but I can't find it on any channels. Would love to watch it all again, even though the formula (meet strangers in need, change to Hulk once, strangers get into more trouble, change into Hulk again to save day, leave strangers in better shape) would probably get boring.

I know the feeling, it's like you live in a different world as a kid, I've gone back and listend to songs I couldn't get enough of as a kid, "Everyone wants to be a cat, one of the Jem songs." among others...and listening to them now when I finally find them it's like...what the farkinugin....these arn't how I remember them has someone switched the masterpiece I loved as a kid for this tone deaf song, also the same with some shows and such :>

heh I remember the Hulk had some great episodes, mind yuo half I really didn't get, such as the MS episode, didn't help that they made it creepy what with showing her blood vessels and such *I think thats what happened*

Maybe tomorrow I'll wanna settle down...
Until tomorrow I'll just keep movin' on.

Too funny.

Hey fellow west coast Canadians. :)

How about Danger Bay? Classic old Canadian programming with horrifically bad writing and acting. lol. I'd love to see that one again.

Yep, DH and I have been catching that on the weekends and man is it ever funny to see again!

One show I haven't seen in a looooong time is Greatest American Hero. I loved that show as a kid, and would love to see it again.

I would love to see some episodes of "Kimba the White Lion", which I loved as a kid. I would also love to see some of the ORIGINAL episodes of "Zoom" with Kenny, Tommy, Nancy, Nina, John, Joe and Tracy. There was one show, I believe it was a PBS show, that I could only catch if there was no school, called "Villa Allegre" - I can still hum the tune to that one, but all I really remember about it was a big ferris wheel.

The biggie for me, tho, is a movie I saw when I was a pre-teen. It was an animated movie titled "Once Upon a Time". All I can remember about it was a cute blue puppy...something about him getting buried in a snowdrift and turning into a flower...? Memory fails me. I would LOVE to see that again!

Hee Haw and the Porter Wagoner Show. Fortunately, they're shown on RFD.

Funny you should mention that. I've been trying to remember the name of that show for years.

I still long for the early days of Nickelodeon--shows like "you can't do that on television".
But mainly, I wish sitcoms today were more like the sitcoms of yesterday--when they still mainly had some sort of message to most episodes. Yes, everything was way too lovey dovey, and you can't solve problems in 30 minutes most of the time, but they are sure better than the sexaholic insult everyone sitcoms of today!!
Like family ties and growing pains.

Speaking of old show I've been trying to find the soundtrack to the opening song for this one cartoon that was in teletoon or YTV at like 3am.

It was about the son of a famous pirate, and trying to escape from the badguys, had a really catchy song, think he aws the son of red beard or such, but not sure. Did find a show that seemed to apply called redbeard, but didn't fully fit. Any Canadians that have a idea wich one it might be? I think it was usually on after cyber six.

I would like to find old tv shows from the 1950s. Some that probably no one remembers. Like CIRCUS BOY, TALES OF THE FORGEIN LEGION,ROCKY JONES SPACE RANGER,and others. I would like to confirm others like a program where a baby could talk and another where a young girl travel to another land via a bench or such. She would land somewhere where there was talking lion and other animal statues. These were way back in the50s and tv technonlgy was still in its infancy.
