Any Myst fans?

The fifth Myst game has just been released, and I haven't heard much aobut it from anybody. Riven has got to be my favorite. Any comments?

I have Myst stored away here somewhere. It's been a long time since I've played that game though. If I find it, I might dust it off. I did get Uru last Christmas, but I had trouble getting it to run, on a computer I had bought earlier that year .

I didn't know there was a 5th one.

I read all the novels. They're pretty cool, and if you pay attention, you'll notice that the first level in Uru is from the books. It's where Atrus lived when he was little.
But I think Riven is the best.

Oh heck yeah! I love Myst! I beat the first two, and will eventually start the third. The story is probably the best part of the game though. While its graphics may be a bit outdated the story is still as captivating as ever.

The graphics in Myst are really outdated, but Riven has very real effects (except for water and such). I don't think Exile has the best graphics overrall, but you can look in full 3d at your surroundings. The newest Myst looks like some of the best graphics I've ever seen in a video game. It's really incredible.

And by the way, Vision, you've got 3 games to beat to catch up, in case you didn't know

The funny thing is, even though it's graphics are outdated, I think it still holds the record for best selling PC game of all time. Is this still true?

I beat the first original mist and Uru. Of course I used the walkthrough *ahem* because i can't figure out how anyone can figure those combinations, especially in uru. I even got completely lost using the walkthrough in one spot.

That record was beaten by The Sims, but I think that Myst is still in a solid second place.

i like Myst... my computer doesnt support Riven the sequel very well but i have always wanted to play it. and i have the CDs ... just need the good computer for it.. have you played Riven?
