Due to the fact the forum is dominated by fundies and moderate democrats, i wanted to know how many of us there are :)

On second thought however, keep reading

We need a general discussion thread, after all the 'other political parties' forum is only for reactionaries really, so i guess maybe we could use a thread as a safe house for general discussion of revolutionary thought perhaps? Or just general 'left wing pinko commie' discussions:p

So ya... whatever lol, I'm tired, i just hope we can get an actual discussion group going, if any of you guys are out there

I guess I'm a "leftist radical". I believe that capitalism is to society as steroids are to athletes. It produces short term gains but long term disaster.

I believe that capitalistic enterprises should be strictly regulated.

I believe that no one should be allowed to make more than four or five times the minimum wage in the industry in which they work.

I believe that excessive individual wealth should not be allowed, and to prevent such we should resort to progressive taxes only.

I believe that no corporation should be allowed to own real property to include stock in any company but its own.

I believe that every corporation should have in its articles of incorporation a statement of purpose, and it should be forbidden to deviate from that purpose. For example, a tobacco company should not be allowed to enter the grocery business. Newspapers should not own radio or TV stations.

Public utilities, such as electricity, water, gas, and communications should be publicly owned.

Every corporation should be time limited. After a stated time, it should be liquidated. This would help minimize the danger of monopolies.

No non-governmental institution should be granted tax-exempt status.

Convicted felons should be stripped of all real and personal property, and measures should be taken to ensure they never offend again. (This should not be considered a punitive measure. It is societal self-defense.)

Anyone engaging in the business of any type of "insurance" should be publicly put to death, as slowly and painfully as possible. This may be considered punishment, but I think it needs to be done.

I'd define myself as a leftist radical. I'm opposed to the capitalist system which only seems to create poverty. I think my only traditional conservative belief is my opposition to abortion, but aside from that, I'm pretty far left :)

I'm radical on some things, not-so-radical on others. (At least in the eyes of Americans, but our political spectrum is so small that anything outside the "Republican vs. Democrat" dichotomy is thought to be radical by many.)

I am one of the most leftest radicals here.

I dare you to find anyone more leftest or radical than myself.

I strongly believe and support most of what Thomas Jefferson(the most famous leftest radical in history) believed in and stood for.

I lean pretty far to the left in some areas, however I lean to the right in others.

For example I believe that all bussinesses should be 50% state owned. The States job would be to insure that the bussiness served the interest of it's empoyees and it's community as well as it's stock holders. I would bump up the death tax to 100%, tax all income over $1 million dollars at 75% and raise the minimum wage to the point where everyone was able to afford basic housing & transportation, health care and nutricious meals.

On the other hand I'd also ban abortion after the first trimester, support the 2nd Amendment and strong military.

I would argue that an exceedingly better way to deal with the problems you are trying to solve is for businesses to be owned 100% by their employees. In this scenario, the employees are the lone stock holders and, since they live within the communites themselves, they have the most incentive to serve the same.

I definitely find the Democrats too right wing to stomach.
