CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have been knitting for about 3 years...and advanced beginner...so you probably have more patterns that I do..haha...I crochet...cross stitch...embroider...quilt...tole paint...but I enjoy knitting the best...and have several projects going to prove it :o)...

I say good for you! I'd like my boys to learn, it's a beautiful art. I learned to knit about 1 1/2 yrs ago and I love it, also trying my hand at cross stitch, it's easy I suppose but really can rack the nerves, at least mine anyway. But, knitting is calming and helps me to think. I have several projects going and it feels so good to finish one!

I used to knit years ago... have gotten into crochet mostly anymore. I'm thinking of trying something in the knitting again, and get that going again. Someday.

I'm not sure if I'd have any "new" patterns, course all my patterns are for crocheters, but if you ever need a pattern for something I can probly find it if I don't have it.
