Well i went and pre-ordered EQ2, and actually the more i read about it as the NDA is lifted, the more excited I am!

Check out some of the changes here -

If you are interested in playing EQ2 with other christians, please let me know! I am currently starting this community under the umbrella of the Tribe of Judah (toj.cc), an online gaming community.

If you'd like more information, or would like to add your name to the list to possibly join our guild, please contact us, and once SOE releases the server names, we will make a decision on where our guild will be founded.

Everquest is M-Rated for it's graphic and boarderline/Adult content, isn't it? Count the costs... Should a Christian play Everquest? I leave that up to you... But whatsoever is pure, wholesome, just... on such things think ye.

In Christ Jesus,

Hmm. I play the regular Everquest, and am a guild leader there. Is EQ 2 any good?
It's great but there is no way it will be ready Nov. 8th. Not saying they won't release it then but it will NOT be ready. I'd probably buy it if I had a better computer but it's really clunky on mine with everything turned down and I can't see a new PC anytime in the near future. I'd wait a couple of months after release for it to (hopefully) reach some appearance of stable.

They just revamped the spells and combat styles a few days ago and are making frequent balancing changes that have me getting stomped by mobs that I was pwning the day before. The quest system is nice, the tradeskill system is really cool and the combat is fun but it's still very buggy. I know it's still in beta but only for a few more days?

Is there a way to level without killing creatures as in the regular EQ?
I'm not sure how much you can do with tradeskills but you can do errand quests for xp. Probably not enough to make it a practical way to lvl. It is much more quest oriented that EQ. Heck, it seems like 80% of the ppl you hail will give you a quest if you choose to accept it but there are a lot of kill tasks like in DAoC.
