Going by the bands listed, give Clutch a try. I know someone else put them but you really can't go wrong with Iron Maiden/Dickinson solo. I listen almost exclusively to the same 30 or so Iron Maiden cds I have, including live ones. I will go against my better judgment and say try Cold, a lot like Staind. I think there is another called Eleven Fingers oh and here is one you might like Audioslave. I'm not really into much of the newer stuff but a friend was playing it there other day and it's really good.

A friend of mine said that Jerry Cantrell (of Alice in Chains fame) was planning on joining Cold. Has anyone else heard this? I would find this quite disappointing.

i got chevelle, and i heard underoath, they seem pretty good. as for the classic, i knowo they are great. but i was looking for somthing a lil but modern. i can get all those band from my dad.

Stop listening to all those bands you listed and everything should sort itself out.

But, really, theres already been some solid suggestions that I won't repeat. "Yield" by Pearl Jam is worth picking up.
