The Sabbath according to the New Moon cycle comes from ignorance of many Sacred Namer groups. There is a New Moon festival that is mentioned in the Torah, however, the sabbath was never to be determined using this method. It comes from a great ignorance of the Hebrew texts and is EASILY disproven.

So many strange and messy things come from the messianic movement when they move away from a Judaic foundation. Thus the overwhelming need for a Beit Din is once again reiterated.

They say that this is the yahweh calendar....new to me..what say yu all

I follow the Lunar Calendar (and as a result Passover is still a month away for me :) ), but this idea of a Lunar Sabbath is completely unfounded as far as I have researched.

Also, it goes against the basic command in Torah:

Exodus 23:12 “Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your handmaid, and the alien may be refreshed.

Doing this "Lunar Sabbath" makes one work more than 6 days in a stretch.

That was my thinking, there was just no way that there was any foundation for this theory. Besides if there if one thing that the Jews never forgot, it was the sabbath, it is the banner of the God whom they worship and it is the banner that they will have til He returns to bring them home. They wroship the Sabbath God and Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath.
