No this was the first intro of the Romulans in the series. Earth does not even know that Romulas exists. In fact the Klingons are unknown to Earth as well for another five or six years.
No that is incorrect. In season 1 there was an episode called minefield. It involved enterprise being attacked by romulan warbirds and having a mine attached to the hull of the ship. And again when arche went to the future earth, he picked up a book called the romulan star empire. They have been mentioned twice before.

We're going to start watching it more often. We've been watching Joan of Arcadia which is in the same time slot. I liked it better when Enerprise was on Wednesdays. It's tough when two shows you like a lot are on at the same time.
We have a DVR and Enterprise here is on Friday night AND again on Sunday, same episode. 7PM I think.

"After unwittingly wandering into a minefield in Romulan territory, Enterprise becomes trapped when struck by an undetonated mine. When Reed takes a space walk to try to defuse the mine, he inadvertently gets pinned to the outer hull and Archer must choose between saving Reed or abiding by the Romulans' orders to depart immediately."

Well I guess I should have put it that they have not had any substantial contact with the Romulans. Romulans are still a mystery to Earth.

Took me a long time to see Captain Archer as Captain Archer. I kept expecting Al to show up. And then he DID in one episode, but not as Al of course! That was great. It was easier to accept Janeway than Archer. I also hated TNG the first few seasons, and I think the Borg was just a waste of air time.

Ya think the Borg beginnings will show up in ST:E?
No, the borg have existed for thousands of years. Long before Enterprise. I do think you are the first Trek fan I have heard of who did not like the Borg.

What enterprise has been integrating from season 1 is that the vulcans have emotion, they just suppress it. So they can show it.

The last episode was sweet, and had a twist I hadnt expected. Can anyone say Romulan Nuetral Zone?
It has always been said since TOS that Vulcans have emotion, they just suppress it. However, Enterprise has been criticised for Vulcans who express emotion, so I believe this recent arch was an attempt to explain that error.

The Borg have been introduced to ST:E

Remember in the Movie First Contact, when the Borg went to 21st century Earth? The enterprise destroyed thier sphere which crashed and was burried on the polar ice caps. Well in archers day some polar researchers came across the remains.

They found a frozen borg that as it was thawed its systems regenerated. It assimilated the research team and took their shuttle and started to modify its systems. Enterprise was dispatched to investigate.

Anyways, at the end of the episode archer destroyed the weak borg ship in which they were able to transmit a subspace message to the delta quadrant. Enterprise determined that whoever they were, it would take them a couple hundred years to reach earth.

Hence in ST:TNG they encountered a borg vessel in the alpha quadrant. Its a temporal paradox type thing. But it explains how the Borg came to know about Earth.

The episode was called regeneration i believe and was in season 1.

That is what I have read. The majority of this season will be 3 episode archs.
Well, I'm enjoying it so far. I just don't know if moving it to Friday night was a good idea, what was wrong with Wednesday?

I always miss the fine details. Thanks for filling me in. I think I recall something like that.
