We had a thread that started off asking what people thought in regards to how the womens movement had affected western society (we where all supposed to share our feelings then debate our stances). Two pages into it, and people then began to move the topic into what female physical characteristics matter most to them in regards to seeking out a significant other!

from my point of view, I love muslims and jews and all other people. God gave His Son for me - I should love all people in return..

In my short life I've met three converts from Islam...which is two more convert to Christianity than I have met genuine converts from Christinaity to Islam...but that si sjust my limited experience...I met one so called convert from Christinaity whose knowledge of our faith was based entirely on what Moslems had told him...he knew nothing...but thewre he was going round saying that he use to be a Christian...perhaps it gives them staTus...GOD knows best...its becoming increasingly common for moslems to convert to our faith!

I've never met an American (by which I assume they mean European American) convert to Islam. You'd think that after four years on a highly diverse university campus I'd find at least one. I've observed such interesting finds as a witch, several Mormons, a Hindu convert to Christianity (no, I'm not referring to myself), a pagan, an Orthodox Jew, and an Orthodox Jewish convert to Christianity. But surprisingly, never have I seen one of these famed European Americans who converted to Islam. If not for the Internet, I wouldn't even know that they exist.

I've never met an American (by which I assume they mean European American) convert to Islam.

I worked with one. I never asked him why he converted but he seemed pretty happy with it. His wife who was likewise a white American converted with him. While he was in the military he was stationed in the Middle East. Other than that I am not aware if I have met anyone who has converted to Islam. They probably do not announce it, had it not been for my coworker praying in the direction of Mecca I would never have known about his conversion.

Thanks for you answers people. I know quite some converts from islam to Jesus Christ myself, mostly Iranians. I don't know any Westerners that have converted to islam (from whatever faith or beliefs).

Indonesia, 280 million INDONESIAN muslims. not a single muslim soldier stepped foot on indonesian soil. did they all just appear from thin air? Malaysia? Phillipines, Thailand, etc, all have major NATIVE muslim populations, how can it be.

African-American's make up approx 42% of the american muslim population, the largest group, and you claim that most of these people were converted in prison? your rascism and ignorance is evident for all to see.

and thanks to the fairly recent intense media exposure, whether bad or good, the entire world is wondering about islam... those who are sincerely searching for truth are finding it in islam.

its only a matter of time before the western societies admit their failing social systems... and more and more will find true contentment and freedom in the muslim lifestyle.

Actually he said that Nation of Islam gets its members from prisons. Nation of Islam is considered by Muslims to be a heretical group. If I'm not mistaken, they believe that Allah was once incarnate in the person of someone named Elijah Mohammad. They are also a black supremacist group.

I hope you don't take offense to this, but my guess is that the PR does more bad for you than good. There are people like myself, who once found religious intolerance to be abhorrant, but who now believe that Islam should be an illegal religion in America. The only thing that Islamic awareness has done for me is cause me to question my belief in freedom of religion. Again I don't mean to offend you, but Islam genuinely concerns both myself and many other Americans. And if the issue were put to a vote, I would most certainly opt to ban the Quran, mosques, the hijab, and all other Islamic practices in America. If I were a Muslim, I'd be working to get my religion out of the news.

If I may offer a third opinion, it seems to me that European nations will become Islamic by mere overpopulation by Muslims. Perhaps countries like Britain and France ought to require immigrants from Islamic nations to deny the Muslim faith before coming over.

If you read the Old Testament, Yahuweh more often than not blesses the israelites when then ban any religion other than Judaism. Look at Hezekiah. He broke down Pagan temples and destroyed alters, and removed paganism from His country of Judea. His land was spared, whilst the other ten tribes, in the top section of Israel Samaria, was carried off and took over by the Assyrians.

Even Yahushua/Jesus, when sending letters to 7 certain Ekklesia's/Congregations in the land either praises them for intolerance, or judges them for tolerance.

Very superficial. Dream on. A failing system is a sign of what exactly? The answer is corruption, most likely; but when does any system not get corrupted? It just takes time for the wrong people to get into power or those already in power to forget their purpose of being for the system to start to fall apart. So, how are Muslims any more moral than the next non-Muslim? If you say your religion teaches you to be moral, then so does others. Muslims are not some special group that have immunity from sin and therefore, corruption.

So, in order to be free, one must live under Islam? I think not. I see corruption in Islam just as much as anywhere else; so, what you are saying is not worth a pinch of salt, IMO. You forget the engineer of these systems is mankind; so, we can not rule of the possibility that it is not necessarily the system, rather the people running the system who can be at fault.

Anyways, your conclusion is a fallacy. Dream on! Apostates and gays evidently are exclusions from your Islamic paradise, I see.
