Some thoughts about Carman:

1. Satan is not currently in hell (nor does he now nor will he ever run the place)... this sort of destroys 87% of Carman's videos. Hell has been prepared for his future judgment and he is currently "god of this world".

2. Carman holds to the heresy that Jesus did not complete the work of salvation of Calvary (despite Jesus saying "It is Finished").

3. Carman believes (and reflects in his songs) the belief that Jesus went into hell to be tortured by Satan in order to save us (despite Jesus saying "Into THY [the Father's] hands I commend my spirit" and despite the fact that scripture says of the Father "it pleased God to bruise Him".) see also: point number 1.

Sorry... but Carman is silly at best and heretical at worst.

Remember, musicians are like preachers... they need to be checked against the Word of God. I'd never let Carman preach or teach at my church.

Substance should always trump style.

Carman is and will always be a Great man of God , no other christian artist has done so many things and gone down so many avenues for saveing souls and getting Gods word out to people as Carman, & he has NEVER comprimized(sp???) the word of God or his music or belifes to gain popularity or money , now im not trying to put him on a pedistal im sure he has sinned like all of us do , but he has done some awesome things for God. I will & forever be a Carman fan, I only hope one day i will meet him !!! & I will continue to pray for him and his ministry(sp??) FOREVER!!!!

But he teaches "another Jesus" and "another gospel". Doesn't that bother you? Paul warns us that Satan's ministers are "the ministers of righteousness". I'n not talking about any particular sin, I am talking about serious error concerning our salvation.

I'm not saying that he is necessarily a minister of Satan... but in any case, he is seriously deluded and he should be corrected, not admired.

Take away the stage show and you are left with a man teaching false doctrines to thousands of people. Enthusiasm, effort, and sacrifice are all admirable qualities, but if they are for the wrong gospel, then (in the end) they are merely tragic.

What do you mean he teaches another Jesus & gospel?? no he doesnt , please explain, I dont think hes is deluded at all. & tell me what is wrong with the champion song,all the song is talking about is whene Jesus was in the wildernessfasting for 40 days satan temtpted him, & at the cross satan thought he killed the Christ but thene Jesus rose from the dead , there is absolutly nothing wrong with that song , it all bible.his doctrine is biblicly sound,

I personally am a pretty big fan of what Carmen does. I don't really listen to his music much anymore, but I appreciate the things that he does as far as concerts and ministries go. I am somewhat open-minded, at least enough to listen to what someone has to say that goes against what I think, so I'm interested to hear where bleechers got that information. Everything I've seen of Carmen so far is pretty biblically sound.

This is the crux of the problem, the heart of the heresy.

Satan was not cheering for the crucifixion. He did everything he could to prevent it! When Peter told Jesus that he would not let Him go to the cross, Jesus said "Get thee behind Me, Satan!". The entire temptation in the wilderness was about preventing Jesus from going to the cross.

The heresy further teaches that Jesus went into hell to be tortured by Satan for three days before being raised from the dead. As pointed out earlier this is a denial of the gospel of Jesus' finished work on Calvary and the fact that it was the Father who bruised Him for our iniquities, not Satan.

These doctrines get even more complex, but I won't go into all that here.

Carman has aligned himself with many of the teachers of these heresies.

Do you not see his videos of hell? Do you not hear his words? He thinks Satan is ruling in hell and he believes there was rejoicing in hell at the crucifixion. The cross was not Satan's shining victory, no, even he knew it was his defeat.

Even if you don't think that Carman is actively promoting those heresies, the best you can say about his message is that he is unwittingly a tool of false teaches. At best he is deluded.



I am going by what I see and hear in his videos and with whom he aligns himself. Like I said, he might just be deluded.

OK, I have just written to Carman via his web site asking him to clarify these issues. I have gone straight to him. I will wait for his reply and report on it here... to be honest, I hope I am wrong, but I've been watching him for 11 years now and he's been pretty consistent.

Paul didn't write most of the NT correcting error just to kill time.

In one sense, yes. But we are all commanded to judge sound judgment according to sound doctrine.

Well, that's a nice cheap shot isn't it?

This is the easy way out of God's command to protect the sheep from false doctrine. In fact, Paul says to "rebuke them sharply". This isn't some minor detail of the faith, this is the core understanding of Calvary.

Did you see the post above? By thinking that Satan "killed the Christ" (a false doctrine espoused by Carman) you touch on the very central truths of the gospel. It was the Father who bruised Jesus and it was Jesus who "gave up the ghost". Nobody took His life from Him, He gave it willingly.

Satan craves attention and glory and artists/teachers like Carman give it to him.

The outward crucifixion was proof of the final depravity of man, but it was the Father's judgment of sin that Christ took upon Himself (a judgment that we cannot enter in to) that expiated our sins.

To thrust Satan into that transaction is to teach an old heresy. Satan in not in hell. That is truth. Satan did not glory in the cross. That is truth. Satan did not torture Jesus for three days to seal our salvation. These are serious errors and they should be noted and rebuked.

If I was teaching such heresies, I'd hope somebody would correct me.

Why do you say it is heresy to think that Satan Crucified or was behind crucifying Jesus?

Read this scripture.

1 Cor 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.





1Cr 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:





1Cr 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory:





1Cr 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.


Now you may interpert this differently and that is your peragative however, if someone feels that the princes of this world whom Jesus called "Vipers" and pointed out that their father was the devil, were partly responsible for the crucifiction then that is their peragative.

You may be right, you may be wrong and others maybe right or maybe wrong but just becuase they have a different interpertation does not mean that are teaching heresy.

Seems to me you need a piece of humble pie!

The songs do use symbols and analogies, but the bible does to. You gotta listen to the words
to understand them fully.

Ya know , this tread was posted to see if anyone was a carman fan & what thier favorite song was, not a bash carman thread , think what you will about him , what he does & teaches is between him and God, if you disagree with his teachings dont listen to him and pray for him let God deal, ok, personaly , I like him and his music , , and back to the subject, I like so many of his songs that I cant pick just one!!!
