I have a lot of health issues too and I'm often cooped up in the house. I know the feeling. It does get old.
I'm waiting on a bible I ordered from EWTN. I'm hoping it's easier to read than the bible I have now (mine was translated directly from Latin). I'm going to try to read it when I get cabin fever.

I have the sense that those feelings are symptoms of a great trial that has begun, and is probably going to be increasing and deepening in the days and maybe months to come. The evil one is very active in the whole world. He wants believers especially to feel alone, abandoned, as it were, imprisoned and solitary. The community of Faith is real, and rock-solid, but the evil one knows he must distract believers from that rock of confidence and steer their eyes toward the outward appearances and away from the interior spiritual realities. What we must do, then, is pray and do acts of supernatural faith, and acts of supernatural hope, and acts of supernatural and holy charity. Those acts bring forth grace, and thus spiritual interior life and communion with Him is His Life - our salvation.
Reminds me of a poem - I had to memorize this stanza in the 11th grade, public high school! - the full poem sees far beyond natural love, beautiful though it can be, to the supernatural and eternal.

Stone Walls do not a Prison make,
Nor Iron bars a Cage;
Minds innocent and quiet take
That for an Hermitage.
If I have freedom in my Love,
And in my soul am free,
Angels alone that soar above,
Enjoy such Liberty.

Yeah! I had to start decorating after Thanksgiving! If it was up to me, I would keep all the Christmas decorations up until February 2nd, the feast of the presentation in the temple (CandleMass).

That’s what I do! I like to enjoy the lights and decorations without the hubbub.
