  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I posted a prayer request when my husband's job was downsized in late January. We are transferring to Naples, Italy and, though I initially didn't want to go overseas, the prayers of all for me to accept God's will have helped me. We are busy making the changes necessary to live overseas. By the way, this will be a financial boost for us, so we are blessed that way.

Thank you all for your prayers.

I had a prayer recently answered...
I was very young and i had my tubes tied... then i got older,i regreted my decision and prayed to God to find a way that i might be able to bring forth a child I prayed 5-6 years... then i was finically blessed,i decided to have a tubal reversal (2-12-04) on march 24 i found out i was pregnant... which God had answered my prayer... I lost that baby... but i know it is in heaven with the Father now... but i continue to pray for a healthy child and I have faith, and i believe the Lord will answer my prayer... He already HAS performed miracles in my life and i know HE WILL BLESS me in the future with a baby!
THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!

I didnt post these prayer requests, But heres some evidence that God does answer prayer. Praise his name!!

*I was rescued from my non-believeing fathers alcohol-dominated household after extensive prayer
*I was sent by God into a mission and as a result a girl i had been praying for for a year was saved and reconcilled to God
*i had been praying for One of my best friends who i was almost enemies with to be saved after renouncing her faith the year before, she was!!
*Both my best friends whos friendships were on the rocks with repented and we r instated in the Lord after eight months of Prayer!!
*The Lord stopped the sky while it was raining during prayers from a friend and i just long enough for us to get home.
*My mum, who looked for a job for 6 months got three at once!!
*I was able to cut all the non-Christian music out of my life in Gods strenght, this was previously a HUGE stronghold in my life
*God has gathered all the christians in my school for outreach, after over a year of prayer to preach and extend the Kingdom!!
I just want to lift up the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and praise Him for delivering so abundantly, espcially when i was so faithless in believing such things could happen.Praise your name, Father God through all the ages, Amen

i would please like to request prayer in something which is extreemly uncertain at the moment. i have missed the entry date for a specific school in which i have wanted to go to for six years.I know God has given me ability in a particular area that will be used to His glory if He wills. you only get two chances to apply throughout all of school, yr 6 and yr 10. i missed it in yr 6 due to moving 5 hours away, but incedently i am now a whole lot more local.I know that if God wants it this time He will make a way but i need prayer to submit to his will if the answer is no. my heart has been set on this sooo firmly and i have asked the Lord if it is not His will to remove this desire. Please Pray He will strengthen me to accept and submit, trusting He has a better plan if the answer is no. thankyou, God bless you all

My prayer request was as follows:
Pray for me please. I need my tooth pulled and can't go to the dentist till next month! I am in heavy pain from it and even have a lasting head ake from it. I can't even sleep. Please pray for me.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I want to report that the same day I posted this the pain went away and I slept perfectly fine. The pain stayed gone. But I had a swelling on my jaw. My wisdom tooth needed pulling. It was pushing into the other tooth and cuting my gums bad. So I thought I should still get it pulled. Cause the swelling seemed to be absess (at least that is what I thought). But not only did the pain go away, but when I woke up two days later, the tooth stoped pushing against the other, and the gums came up over it. Not only that, but the swelling left. I don't even need the dentist.

LOL And all I asked for was for the pain to go. God does far above what we even ask or think!
I had something like this happen to me this past year or so, I may have posted about it on this thread.

But my wisdom teeth were pushing like crazy, and hurting constantly with pressure. Well I prayed for them, and that was it, its been over a 18 months since I have felt a single thing.

Another time I had pain and swelling forming in a bad tooth, prayed for them nonstop in tongues, and two hours later a coworker had some pain medication, and 4 or 5 antibiotics. So that wasn't a nonassisted healing, but I'll take it just the same.

I haven't had trouble with my teeth in a long time. I now prevent pray over them, I don't think I have had one single problem since I did that.

I prayed over a stye, and from what I read you have have medication for those to go away. Mine went away slowly over 2 or 3 days after prayer.

I had this knot right on the top of my foot, I thought it was a bone spur, but really I don't know what it was, but it felt like bone, and it was small like half the size of a marble.
Well it was there for probably a year before I prayed for it. It didn't bother me, so I didn't think to pray over it. When I did, it went away totally, thats been about 2 months now.

Yesterday I posted a prayer request that God would help me find the courage to advocate for my daughter. The school wanted to retain her in kindergarden. On my way to the appeal, I felt a calm that always eluded me before every other meeting for my children. We recieved the news about 10 minutes after the meeting. Praise God, she's going to first grade!

Thank You God for all Your answered prayers. Seen and unseen.

I almost forgot, I kicked my toe last month and I thought i broke it, but not for sure.
It was black and swelling, I prayed for it, and instantly the swelling went away, and the pain stopped totally.
Within 12 hours the toe was a brownish red, and another 12 hours, it was completely healed.

Hi all

This is actually something that was answered with a 'no'.

I'd been praying about an interview that I had coming up. It was a job I really wanted, in an area of work I enjoyed and wanted to gain experience in , but when I asked God I felt I was getting a negative response.

Today I was told I'd been unsucessful. :( I'm both sad and happy - sad I didn't get the post but happy that I heard God correctly!

I am walking incredibly well better than I have for MANY years.
My energy is also MUCHLY improved.

Dear Fellow Christians,

We are members of a few families including grandparents, adult children, and grand children. We have a family problem concerning our sister in law. In the beginning she respected us, but after she married my brother and had kids things began to change year by year and have gotten worse. She has a dominating personality and wants everything done her way. She is a controlling manipulative, selfish person, bordering on being a family bully, but she hasn't done anything aggressive yet.

She treats her mother and father in law as servants and objects. She only wants them around for what they can do for her. They are people and not just babysitters. They have taken care of her kids for more than 10 years. One time another brother was going to Florida for vacation. He jokingly asked our mother if she wanted to go along. My sister in law thought she was serious and said, "You aren't taking my babysitter anywhere!" No one said anything, but I was offended by the way she said that. Now that they are getting old she wants to put them out to pasture. She has no use for them except for an occasional babysitting job or picking up the kids from school when she is busy.

Our mother is sick and has to go to the doctors for treatment. This does not matter to our sister in law. She still wants to take over the family at the expense of hurting others. It is getting harder to deal with her attitude. None of my other brothers or sisters in law treat people the way that our dominating sister in law and her husband do. She does not treat her husband or kids as well as she should either. She is not good for us and not good for her own family. Sad to say, if it is God’s will we are hoping for a divorce before there is a big split in the family or before anymore damage is done or before the hurts run to deep.

I don't now if the others are blind, are ignoring the problem, or are just afraid that she will start treating them bad too. I am looking for the best possible responses to this letter. I will print them out to show to the others so we can have a thoughtful family discussion on how we should handle the situation. Thank you for any help you can give. May the good Lord show us the best way to deal with this.

Please give us any advice on what we should do. Thank you and God bless.

:prayer:

I have been so truely blessed with the abundance of answered prayers in my life.
- I have been praying for a friend of mines family to have the means by which to send her to a christian college rather than a state school. She was so down and depressed. I'm so glad she is now able to attend a place where she will be happy, and where she can live out gods will in her life.
-God has also answered my prayers for a new friend base. Through my church I've hooked up with a group of guys who I feel wanted with, there people I can have conversations with, and ppl that I can look up to. I thank god so much for bringing me to this group of ppl.
