CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God answered two of my prayers lately.. healing for my daughter's eye, she doesn't have to wear glasses.. and also healing for my husbands bad headache.. I laid hands on both and God heard and answered!! \0/ I praise His name..

I posted a prayer request a few weeks ago concerning a nodule that showed up on my wife's mamogram. At first the doctor didn't seem too concerned, but when he called a day later and insisted that we have a biopsie done it worried me. On one hand I was really glad that they were gonna take action instead of waiting for the next mamogram, but it really made me think about all my wife is to me and our whole family.
Thanks to all the prayers of you fine brothers and sisters, along with many of our own we were blessed with good results from the biopsie. No cancer! Praise

I have been unemployed for sometime now, 7 months to be exact. I haven't been pestering the Lord about it too much. But, things have gotten really, really bad financially. So, Monday morning I spent some time in prayer over it. I said that I needed a job desperately, but I want something that will line-up with His plan for me. I need clarity, I need something to show me that He's listening and He'll point the way for me. I need a brick to fall on my head!
Well, that afternoon an employment agency called saying that they think they have a clerical position for me, but I didn't have the details. I was just floored because I had JUST prayed about a job that morning and they called me that same afternoon!
AND...Tuesday morning I called them to get the details of the position, and the job is being offered by Pastor Julie at the Lutheran Church in town! That can't be mere coincidence! I am not Lutheran, I don't really claim a denomination. But I have been wanting to find a church. This is all too much! This HAS to be God's hand...don't you think??
So, I start my position with the Lutherans next Tuesday!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!

Praise God, He is loving and kind!
I was in conflict with a co-worker, and God used the situation to teach me some valuable life lessons. The co-worker and I disagreed on how to do a project, and he manipulated things and people so that he would "win." I prefer to come to a consensus, but he wouldn't listen. I was very angry, and I asked for prayer here on CF.
Over the past week, I learned some lessons:
1. Let go of other people's behavior; it's a reflection on them, not me.
2. It's okay to be angry when someone crosses my boundaries.
3. God will provide what I need.
In the end, I paid attention to the Lord's leading, and decided to let the co-worker have his way -- even though our work will suffer for it. At the same time, the Lord allowed me to vent my frustrations to another co-worker, who listened to my viewpoint (unlike the other co-worker). I have also resolved to myself to distance myself from the troublesome co-worker, or if I have to work with him, then to make him work as a team player.
I am very thankful to the Lord. He managed the situation every step of the way. I have learned that He is faithful, and He takes care of me. I can trust Him to work within this world, even when the world is corrupt and broken. Praise Him!

i have just been told by a friend that i have a gift in counseling and teaching. i have always struggled with not having a gift and that i have no reason for being a christian yet since im only 14, but God has shown me through my friend's words that i have a gift even though my age may be young! Thank You Jesus!
