  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

One of our school Bible study members, the boyfriend of another member, and I got to talking today about our journeys to Christ and then about prayer. I told him a story that I thought he already knew, but apparently he didn't or didn't remember. When his now-girlfriend told me that he had come to Christ, I had vaguely remembered praying for him. At a later Bible study I started cracking up laughing because I remembered the time I had prayed for him. We were sitting with their friends during lunch and somebody had said something about hell and he said something to the effect of "Yeah, I'll go to a place I don't believe exists." and I prayed one of those random little rote prayers that I sometimes question the effectiveness of (or at least the heart in) and don't necessarily have a lot of faith in (I guess that goes to show that the type of prayer or necessary "devout-ness" of it isn't indicative of God's power, which is thr true powere of prayer if you understand what I am trying to say; I just realized that little lesson). Anyway, it was like two weeks later that he came to Christ and she said that it had seemed so out of the blue. I just thought it was so funny. He started laughing, too, when he heard, and thanked me. I said your welcome even though I felt like I should've pointed out that it was really the Holy Spirit's doing. But now I sound preachy. Whatever. It was so cool.:sorry:

the biggest thankyou to my brothers and sisters in Christ that have faithfully prayed with me and for me. And for my husband whose drinking habits were damaging our marriage.
He has finally of His own accord, given up drinking and has been 2 weeks sober.
Thankyou all for not giving up even when I tried to.
Love and blessings in the name of Jesus.

Heavenly Father, from whom no sin is unknown, I thank you for watching over my brothers and sisters in Christ. I thank you for answering their prayers, and I pray that you continue to hear them and to shine Your radiant blessings down upon them.
Lord, through which all things are possible, I ask that you guide us Your children through our lives until it is our time to join you.
In Jesus name :amen:

Minty. xx

Thank-you for saving my friend Joe. When he had his legs amputated, I felt horrible for him, especially since he was a gifted young athlete. I prayed for him for months and I was ready to give up but as it says in Matthew 7:7 and Luke 18:1-8, I was diligent in prayer. When his legs spontaneously grew back before my eyes, I realized the power of the lord and I was saved.

I can't send messages due to my low post count and I won't clutter the forum to make the post count.

In response to the IM, I do have pics and videos but the lord told me that I can't show them to anyone or else, I would rob people of their free will and a chance at faith.

Jesus, thank YOu for Your love and for being my Rock of Salvation. I trust only in You and not on circumstances. Thank YOu for living and dying for me. Thank You for leaving Heaven in the first place, for the intention of hanging on the cross, reserved for those cursed, and for taking my sin and guilt and punishment, sickness and all evil onto Yourself. Jesus, You are truly the Love of my life and always will be now and forever. Amen. Jesus, I adore You!
