Because English is Germanic but has lots of other "influences" like from Romance languages. That and it has too many extra words! Like what is the word "do" all about anyway? Sorry...I have an English degree and tend to ramble about this stuff. LOLsimi said:lol becayuse the english langyuage is confusing

"White people are confusing"? Did you just broad brush a racial slur on the inter-net?ahumanistbloke said:Because white people are confusing. Lol...

Why is gas so expensive?
Yes! I have learned quite a bit that way. The Internet rules!~Laurenda~ said:"White people are confusing"? Did you just broad brush a racial slur on the inter-net?
I'm American. My ethnicity is mixed. Which I, being diametrically opposed to racial profiling and other forms of prejudice to compare and contrast races, refuse to answer on principle.

Gas is expensive because it is imported and because there are too many hands in the till. But, if you think about it...there are many things that are more expensive than gasoline. I would use Milk as an example (it's the one most commonly used to make this point)...except that at my local Wal-Mart milk is $1.99 a gallon now...and that's a few cents less than gas in my area at the moment.
I would chock it up to supply and demand as well. If we didn't need it...they couldn't sell it any price. Would be nice if we could get tot he point of not needing it. Especially since it's one of the primary reasons the ozone layer has a big hole in it.
Do you make it a point to study independent of a school setting?
Yuck! Don't like either one anymore. H2O baby!Learning2Crawl said:Why not?
