CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The only way to get past it is to look outside yourself. I believe the reason most people get depressed is they are not trusting God for their help. So basically...what you said! Though I will say there are people who have a chemical imbalance that needs to be taken care of by a medical professional...or serious healing from God.

You mean if I wasn't already married and didn't think that the fictional character "Prince Charming" was an impossible standard that no man, no matter how rose colored the glasses a woman in love is looking through, can ever really compete with let alone embody? Or that it instills in women a sense of helplessness with the underlying message that they should wait for some guy to come along and save them from their misfortune instead of trying to fix them on their own? Well then... I would be wearing a Tiffiany tiara, and the dress that Drew Barrymore wore, complete with wings, in the movie "Ever After" of course. Do you like horror movies?
