CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What do you do when your not feeling well? Do you ignore it or baby it?
I drink a lot of water. Might take a Tylenol or some Alka Seltzer. And I try not to work too hard. Which is difficult since I run a household with 4 other people in it who are pretty much helpless without me.

(by the way, my headache did go away...thank you very much! I drank a large glass of ice water and laid down for a bit this afternoon and now it's 98% gone...which is pretty much all gone!!)

That's a hard question. It's a toss up between silver birches and oak trees, but if I had to choose just one, it would be the oak tree. When they are fully grown they are magnificent. Their sheer size and breadth and strength is really awesome and in spring they are so pretty when their fresh green leaves come.

Redwoods, because they are so amazingly large and yet fragile, and their wood is so pretty and it repels insects & fire. They can fall over and if even part of their root system stays in the ground, they will grow a new set of trees from their side.
