  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, in the past, we have always had our gift exchange on Chistmas Eve, and all the family would get together then. But, with both my kids grown and in other states (my son will be overseas then, too) we'll have to do something else.

Do you do 'Santa Claus'?

No. I would really love to have a Golden Retreiver...but they cost money, which we so don't have. And we also don't have a fenced yard. (and that costs money too) So...I'm in a holding pattern about the pet for now. We haven't had a pet in over a year! The last pet we had was a cat, the stupidest cat I've ever met. (until him, I didn't think it was possible for cats to be stupid...stupid, filthy and was always getting into fights. Disgusting!)

What is your favorite breed of dog?

My favorite breed of dog is a boxer. My mom had two of them for years! They are wonderful pets!! Very loyal and protective! Laurenda, your cat sounded like a typical male cat (or can I say typical male?? lol)

How do you spend a typical day off?
