  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

For sure, there IS
more YOLK per egg
and as for its nutritional value
and TASTE ? I have no-information

I learned yesterday
that egg yolk is included
within the ingredients list of, Ice Cream

Has anyone eaten Ice Cream
where egg yolk from ostrich eggs had been used ?

dave

Personally, I don't know if I've ever eaten that; however,
don't you enjoy eating Hard - Cooked Eggs ??

"Hard-cooked-eggs" ? >
as in hard-boiled-chicken's egg sandwiches ?

for sure I have so often!!!!

all my life but NOT DAILY !

I find them TASTY

I KNOW they are 'NUTRITIOUS'
means: very good for you

The egg-producing industry suggests:
that everyone goes to work on an egg

but I never figured out how to ride one

any-ideas ?

Hmm. "Go to work on an egg."

Nope! Can't figure that one out! It would seem the ovoid shape would make it difficult to balance...

But perhaps you could ride on a tram? :)

Go To Work On An Egg
= have one for breakfast everyday

It's been a while since Bristol had trams

"WILL THEY BRING THEM BACK? "

LOL never heard of tram eggs
swallowing the ostrich egg story
was a choker

New more-modern buses (locally) 'kneel'
to let me and wheelchair-users mount them
without stepping up >>> this IS AN HONOUR

bless them!

did you mean to 'top them'
and to replace the yolk with a saladcream + yolk MIX ?

EDIT

I much prefer Ariel's recipe
I think the name could use 'an update'

"WHAT DO YOU think ?"

Don't you enjoy them even better if they are deviled eggs?

Did you mean "Heavenly Stuffed Eggs"?

"Hard-cooked-eggs" ? >
as in hard-boiled-chicken's egg sandwiches ?

for sure I have so often!!!!

all my life but NOT DAILY !

dave

I didn't have time to respond to Spring earlier, and your query as well, Dave. So I'll do it now.

I love deviled eggs, but Spring, I like your name for them better. So, if by "Heavenly Stuffed Eggs" you mean those tasty treats often served at picnics and church dinners, we are understanding each other!

But our British friends may not know what we mean, so I am going to give Dave and any others a recipe so you have an idea of how to make "Heavenly Stuffed Eggs."

Heavenly Stuffed Eggs

4 hard-boiled eggs
2 Tablespoons mayonaisse or salad dressing
1 teaspoon vinegar, cider vinegar works well
1/2 teaspoon paprika
a pinch of salt

Peel the eggs and slice them length-wise. Gouge out the yolks and place them in a bowl. Set aside the empty eggs whites.

Mash the egg yolks and add the mayo or salad dressing, vinegar, paprika and salt. Mix well. Using a spoon, fill each egg white and arrange on a platter. Sprinkle with additional paprika, and if desired add a sprig of parsley for presentation.

Enjoy!

Now Dave, if it's ostrich heavenly egg you want, you'll need to double the above recipe, using only one ostrich egg, of course.

But I doubt you'll find ostrich eggs on the market at any reasonable price for eating. Here in Texas they are at a premium for hatching. Birds = big bucks, you know.

Back to our thread!

Yes, Dave, I knew what you meant. What, no more trams! But the transport you describe sounds far better.

Still, the idea of "going to work on an egg" got me chuckling.

Can you imagine balancing on an egg? Wouldn't it be slightly smashed?

If a fly sits on an unpeeled egg, and you smash the fly, does the hardboiled egg smash, too?
not if you dont swat the egg

usually the fly will see swat arriving and will lift off
only to have brains ladled and squidged
on the swatter
Some Experience may be required to defend an unboiled egg

LOL
will you be trying-out your aim and collision-control ?

Would you like to try it and then let us know?
If you are asking if, and whether I have had my face slapped

Yes! I admit it
aged twenty I had been a little forward (fresh)
with my Momma and she said cheeky-boys
could "get their faces slapped would that they just continue"
and then 'smiled' !
I smirked
and said she "couldnt reach me now"
at five foot nine and a half inches
I towered over her four foot eleven and a half inches
and I guess was becoming a full bloodied male

anyway she jumped up
and gave me a belter and then we both laughed
as taunter and taunted re-laid our places
I loved my Momma

So yeah! I tried it already :D

Have you also ?
