(A short while ago he/she just came, asked for dinner, ate, because I gave him pork, played a little and just walked away)

That decision, was made at a very early age


Cats are:
free-roaming /cat-napping /opportunists

In the wild.... they are 'carnivores' as-in PREDATORS
ie: TAKERS of Meat and Blood in LIVING condition


I used to love them
until I was about eight years old
When then, a local Tom
of humungous-proportions
ignored more than a dozen neighbours
as they tried to prevent it
eating and clawing at my head and neck

I had LOVED-IT for many months
It would come to me as I sat outside my home
on the kerbside and it would rub/stroke
its entire body against my body and legs
It would PURR loudly and was VERY FRIENDLY
UNTIL
One Day as I bent to smooth its back
after it approached me (purring)
it did a 180 degree turn
and came up at me 'tooth and claw'

The street had been empty
(cars were 'RARE' back-then)

The neighbours had rushed-out into the street
responding to to my screams
The cat was kicked away and even thrown
across the street (by its tail) Only to return
with a determination
that I cannot fathom to this-day!

It would come around the people
to the attack
I was even picked up from the floor and held aloft
and still it continued to try to get me

I was innocent of any cruelty to it
I had simply, 'loved' the thing until then
ais: for many months

Am unable to relax in their company EVER SINCE
I love dogs, and HAVE "ever since"

Explanation ? I have NONE


But!
my previous two wives 'remind me' of this-incident
# becoming SOUR with age
# becoming CONTRARY after being spoiled for long time

Thankfully ! not-all cats are the same
Thankfully ! not-all women are similarly natured
Thankfully ! there are hearts over which Satan has no domain

It had both of my cheeks 'scores' of times
although my hands and arms took the brunt
and I have lttle facial record of it.....today!
It was a nightmare for-months too! thereafter

One of my lads told me yesterday
that a little local girl had been mauled to death
by a neighbour's pit-bul (in a similar-event!)

Oh Dave, I am so sorry. Such a terrible thing to happen. Were you okay, physically after this?

As for your emotional state, I can only imagine the sense of betrayal by an animal you had loved. Yes, I understand you have problems with cats today.

They say you should never trust a wild animal, because even after years in captivity they can turn on you. I guess the same can be said for wild cats. You had a bad experience.

I am thankful that you realize that not all cats are like this--or all women!

Well, all of them includes both mixed breeds and purebreeds, doesn't it, and is it possible that some breeds are better for some people?

I have had several types prior to German Shepherds
Labrador, poodle, alsatian(cross)
But, I always fancied having a 'shepherd'


My next-door neighbours son's female shepherd
had given birth to a litter, but, all the pups
could not be found owners (?)
I was invited to take one
We named her Lady Charmaine Kemlex Katka
after her parents KEMJON LEX OF AVIMORE
and KATRINA KARENMORE
and we registered her with The Kennel-Club
Concerning a furher litter by that couple
Alady who wished to buy one, couldnt herself
take it thru toilet training and basic manners

I was asked to bring it on and was able to hand it back as it reached it's 19th week
when it would sit in front of me 'attract my attention'
with a little whimper if, I wasnt looking

yes! for LOVING OBEDIENCE to THE PACK (family)
it's German Shepherds for me
Though any breed, can be raised IN GOOD WAYS
It is little wonder to me that the police use them

They are NOT called SHEPHERDS for no reason
