As part of research I came across this quote. I wonder if other posters would like to comment on it.

In the Bible it discusses being stewards. Which we definitely are, as we are the most powerful species on this planet. The fact that we haven't held to our stewardship position is another in the list of failures of the human race.

MVA, have you ever heard of an off ramp? Do you refuse to get on a highway because it runs straight to the local brothel? I am amazed at what passes for wisdom in some quarters.

Humanity has a tendency to look for easy answers, a pill to cure all ills. Recently, research scientists have hypothesized that something in plastic may be responsible for most illnesses and disorders in the human condition and are going about their research hoping to prove this true. While religious interpretation could, indeed, be at the heart of many social problems and has certainly been the basis for travesties such as the Crusades as well as jihadist thinking, extrapolating that patriarchal language is soley to blame for holding back adaptation and for this world's increasing problems is just another over-simplistic hypothesis.
