Another new aspie Christian

Hi there, I hope it's ok to start a new thread to introduce myself. I am so excited to find you guys! I belong to another aspie forum, which has been soo great to learn about AS, but I am excited to meet other people of faith with AS

Actually I am not formally diagnosed, but my 2 kids are, and since they were, my husband and I have realised we are too. I also struggle with ADD, but having learnt about myself has been sooo liberating - learning coping strategies etc. and that I am not a failure.

Hello, nice to meet you! That's interesting that you advise churches - that they are trying to accommodate people with autism. What advise do you give? My son is struggling in Sunday School! He has difficulty understanding some things.

Bron, if you use the internet to search for "welcome those with autism and asperger syndrome" it should take you to the links for an example of the work we're doing for the Anglican church. Many others are now linking to this.

Exactly ... hi Bron and its great to meet you. Im in a relationship but a steady one but with downfalls ... not going to talk about that here ... with a guy whom I know and we really get along well Anyhow Im just a normal adult with AS making childish descisons aka daydreaming about fantasy characters but Im really easy to get to know and people here where I live consider me likeable when you first meet me ... I hope that leaves you with a lasting impression of me
