It's a great idea, because it would allow them to avoid stirring up lunar dust, which is highly abrasive. Moon dust doesn't get its sharp edges eroded the way Earth dust does.

The idea, if you read the article, isn’t to use a maglev, however, but rather a movable track with linear induction motors (which maglevs also use, so it was drawing a comparison). Either way, it is a good idea, since trains in general do not stir up dust the way other vehicle types would, especially rovers. The use of rovers for routine transport on a moonbase would cause massive premature ageing of the facility, simce indeed, lunar dust is nasty, abrasive stuff. I recall one astronaut got exposed to it when removing his suit, which badly irritated his mucous membranes.

The problem here is you are accusing astronauts of lying without sure knowledge.

Another elephant in the room is the cosmonauts. If anyone had a vested interest in disproving our space program, it would have been the Soviets. But they have corroborated our accomplishments.

This is all a waste of time anyway. Flat earthers have to discredit the moon landings because there are very clear pictures of the earth where the shape can be clearly seen.
This destroys all their arguments for a flat earth - so obviously they have to be dismissed as all false.

It's a British thing, which originated at a time when England was largely Catholic. It only seems to have carried on in the Commonwealth countries and hasn't really been a thing in the USA.

Something these astroNots wouldn't do.

As noted above, it isn't really a done thing in the USA, so it would probably be seen as a strange request, however I have no doubt that in a court of law, where there are actual penalties if you lie to the court, the Astronauts would have no issue with swearing to tell the truth, and then testify as to their travelling through space to the moon and back, since it actually is the truth.

I wouldn't use the first word.
The second can just mean "covered in blood" - or maybe someone with blood on their hands, which is possibly what the KJV is referring to.
As someone has said, context is important.

Congratulations to SpaceX on a successful test flight of Starship, with the booster landing on the chopsticks and Starship making a successful re-entry after entering low earth orbit.

Just realised it didn't land the booster on the chopsticks, they did a brief hover over the water in the Gulf of Mexico before letting it drop. Crazy how it did that with almost nothing in the tank, plus Starship managing to maintain control and nail its landing manoeuvre despite its fins nearly disintegrating during re-entry. Amazing software and engineering.
