0) I posted a challenging question for Arminiasts, but got now answers, so please don't say I'm taking sides.

1) God has mercy on who he wants

Romans 9
18Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.

2) God wants everybody to be saved

1 Timothy 2

3This is good, and pleasesGod our Savior, 4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time.

3) How do you interpret these verses in light of believing in limited atonement and election to grace?

4) I look forward to your answers, shalom.

Good Question.

The one whom God hardens is the one whom God has chosen to give over to his 'debased mind (Romans 1) - to the sin that is already there.

As for the passage in Timothy..

The Gospel is now going out to all the ends of the earth (gentiles/all men). In redemptive history, the oracles of God were to the Jew first, and then the Greek (gentiles/all men), who Timothy was preaching to.

Hope this helps,

Dan V.
