Another Botched Prosecution

I think he did it. ALL the discrepancies in his story, the fact that he was cheating on his wife... He was deceitful in his life while Laci was alive and he was deceitful after she was killed. I think he did it and he needs to be prosecuted and locked up.

I can't understand how the prosecution could lose this one!! Man, if this turns out as bad as the OJ trial, I can't imagine the outrage (and perhaps a riot?)that will follow.....

A riot? Who would be rioting against who? Since the case is a circumstantial case, there is always a possibilty that the defense can show reasonable doubt.

I don't know about you all, but it looks like the prosecution team on the Scott Peterson case, learned their strategy and tatcits from the OJ Simpson prosecution team.

I predict Scott will be 'scott-free' soon, regardless of all the evidence against him.

I think that you are right but after having spent six weeks on a murder trial myself for the death of a pregnant woman also I know that you can not make a fair judgement unless you are in the courtroom everyday for the entire trial. There is so much not shown or reported in the news that we can't possibly make a fair call.

i actually care none at all for this case. it's just another local news story blown out of proportion. if his wife wasn't so photo-friendly, the level of care would be almost zero elsewheres in the country.

Exactly! Judging from Court TV which runs a lot at my house while I do other things, the prosecution is bungling this trial and they don't have anything solid in they way of physical evidence. A hair wound around a pair of needle nose pliers, some evidence that he made several anchors in his storage facility at work and that's about it. His behavior is what condemns him the most. The day she went missing he did some really odd things - questioning cops about bringing in cadaver dogs-using the past tense when he talked about her, etc. Then, in early January, she went missing Dec 23 or 24th, so within two weeks he had thrown their wedding album in the trash, started moving boxes of storage items into the babies room, and so on and so on. Not like someone whose wife is missing, but someone who knows she isn't coming back. He sold her car, he began boxing up her clothes, and on and on. His conversations with Amber Fry were pretty telling too. He just plain acted guilty.

If the prosecution doesn't get it together, he's liable to walk away, free as bird.

I agree that the prosecution was not doing a very effective job, But, It looks like he may get off.
