ankle stretch marks....?????

I have had these marks on the outside of my ankles for a longgggggggg time now...They almost look like stretch marks, I have heard you can get stretch marks there...ya think????

Perhaps they're streach marks. It is possible to get them on the ankle. Many people have them there and its normal.

Its funny..lol...i have obsessive compulsive, and its gotten to the point where i look at other peoples ankles...to see if they have this almost circle shaped rashy thing...lol...Like I said ive had it for a while now...lol

Not everyone likes streach marks. And for many they dont fade, so i can understand people who do panic.

Well there's not a whole lot you can do about them, other than maybe cocoa butter or something, so panicking isn't going to get you far.

Obviously panicking is not going to get you far. Not that i said i was panicking, however mentioned how others may panic.

Furthermore, why do you say Cocoa Butter? I wonder why it may help.

As I understand it, it may help increase skin elasticity, so even if it doesn't do a whole lot for what you've already got, it may help prevent more from forming. I don't know a whole lot about it, because I don't care enough to do it. I just know what I hear from those much more concerned with their appearance.

And you're young, I guarentee any you have now will fade significatly given enough time.

If you wear ankle socks, they won't show! I don't think I have ever seen stretch marks at the ankle. Perhaps I did not know what they were at the time .... like maybe small scars? Anyway, I doubt people will really notice at all.

Great post, also vitamin E taken orally or applied directly to the stretch marks.
These things do fade, the younger you are the better, it is soooo true!

big rob-bro i could care less about stretch marks on me...i just wasnt sure if thats what they are...i just have these strange marks on my ankles...and ive had them for a long time...lol

it seems like it would be cool to have stretch marks on your ankles. anywhere else might be annoying, but ankles are weird anyway, so that's just one more uniqueness that you've got lol.

Stretch marks are weird ANYWHERE -- though there's a lot on our bodies that is really weird...

I got stretch marks on the front of both my shoulders from playing Raquetball. I started in a semester-long class, and my muscles just grew faster than my skin! Luckily I injured my right shoulder in the middle of the class so it was symmetrical -- otherwise I'd go insane!

Anyway, to get back on topic, I have tiny stretch marks on my ankles too -- from cycling actually. Where I live you can't do much biking during the winter, so I get quite out of shape. When I used to train hard, I'd gain a lot of muscles every Spring. Voila! Instant stretch marks!

They don't bother me, though I DID go to see the school nurse about the ones on my shoulder. I'd never recognized stretch marks before (besides on pregnant women) and I didn't have a clue what they might be! As soon as she suggested they were stretch marks, I knew right away what had caused them!

I have to agree. Stretch marks are not a womens favorate thing to get. It's right up there with varicose veins. I have had one child and am preparing to have another. I agree that cocoa butter such as Palmer's lotion can help with these. Mine haven't gone away completly, however they have faded. I'm hopeing they will prevent more from coming with this next pregnancy!

Ya, i got them on my inner thigh. They're a bout 6-8 inches long!! its a good thing they are white and not red.
