And the right to kill and eat animals. (see Acts 10) How is raising a sheep ,feeding and taking care of it any different than taking care of a dog? And at the end of the day the sheep is butchered and ate, by us or whoever buys it.The same God sacrificed His own Son, who is fully human.
Why don't you think caring for a dog is treating it like it has human rights? We have the same rights too - food, water, shelter, etc.
They go into the dirt. there's absolutely no biblical evidence that animals have souls.
The problem with a lot of these animal advocates is all they have is their pet animals, they are cut off from the rest of society and all they think about is their pets. so it twists their vision of Gods plan for mankind. It also creates a disconnect between them and the rest of the human family.
Some of the most dysfunctional people I have ever met are individuals that have extreme affinity for animals without a balance for people and of course the creator.

What kind of human would you think I was if I said it was okay to kill and eat other humans?
The difference is God identifies certain species as livestock and has a list of animals we can and can't eat. Leviticus prohibits eating any animal that has paws. It does not say the same thing about sheep. So why does anyone believe God wants people to kill any animals which are not identified as livestock?
You didn't read Acts 10 obviously. Those rules were done away with. All meat is now permissibleThe difference is God identifies certain species as livestock and has a list of animals we can and can't eat. Leviticus prohibits eating any animal that has paws. Because they can't. They do things that would be horrible sins for us... But since they merely act on instinct they can't be held accountable for it.
Nobody has said a thing about loving animals more than people. Only you. God diode for our sins, not for animals. Yet, the new earth will have no animals that hurt or eat others, and no humans who will eat animals. Animals, too, will get a much better world.
I feel sorry for you---for you seem to have never had the loyalty and unconditional love of an animal. Until you do, you will never understand what people here have been trying to tell you. All you can do is call us heathens and pagans and totally misunderstand what is being said. You have no insight to offer that is not offered by just reading the bible and how Jesus loved all His creations, though we are of much more value, for He died for us--He died for us because we sin. He didn't have to die for animals, they do not sin.
Pay attention now
I don't want ''unconditional love'' of an animal. I want love and redemption from my God,friendship from my human family and love from a wife and children. And as an aspiring evangelist I love my neighbor to save them by preaching the Gospel. This is where my heart is,saving humanity, not animal rescue operations. The time I love animals the most is when they are served up to me on a plate.
If you don't like my posts, get out of my thread and don't come back.
You should take council from people who do understand, to build a greater relationship with God.
U'm, except there's lots about heaven and hell for humans, not about critters.

You are not allowed to say I don't understand God. It is obvious you don't understand what He said about creating animals to live and multiply all over Earth, then saving the lives of many animal species during a huge worldwide flood. I asked you why not and you still have not answered.
I will keep asking you that question until you answer it! All you have to do is give me an answer and I will stop.
Depends how hungry I was... Asians eat a lot of dog meat. It doesn't sound appealing to me, but then I wasn't raised on it. I eat a lot of deer, and have eaten stuff like beaver and muskrat. Love squirrel and rabbits. So you would rather eat your dog than a chicken?
Really you're going to pick out one verse of Ecclesiastes, and ignore the whole rest of the Bible? You do realize in Ecclesiastes, Solomon is contrasting two types of thinking? Humanist and the eternal perspective. He's not saying animals and people are the same at all.The same place is dust.
And who doesn't want the love of God? What makes you think that you can have only one or the other??? I'll get out of your post when I want for this is a website for debates! Every pastor I know, every converted Christian I know has as their primary goal the salvation of people--that they also love all of what God created for us to enjoy does in no way detract from their mission. People who place no importance on the creations of God are no more holy than those who do---except in their own minds.
