Matthew 5:21-22 NIV

So as long as we do not sin,when we are angry,we are not sinning.

What about Ephesians 4:26?

"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.
So as long as we do not sin,when we are angry,we are not sinning.

By the way,you are right,blackribbion. The Bible is the best reference for us christians when it comes to christian issues.

Where did this statement come from? It is saying that when we are angry, we are more likely to let sin get a foothold in our lives....nothing about not being sin if we aren't angry. Sin is sin regardless of our mood...however certain moods make us more likely to make bad choices.

Ephesians 4:26 is an awesome addition. I'm going to add several more verses too...

Ephesians 4:26-29

“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Anger would indicate that a judgment has been made about the situation. I think sinning would be doing something that made the situation worse.

IMO, this is another example of how Christ clarified the law. He "elevated" how our walk should be. Another example being actually loving our enemies not just abstaining from returning evil.
