Angel On My Bed

Have you ever just woken and looked at some thing like say a drapery or a lamp and it took on the shape of a person or some other creature watching you? Creepy, huh? That used to happen to me often. When I continued looking at it as I more fully awoke it would always disappear. Of course I assumed it was the product of my dreaming mind.

This morning I woke looking directly at an angel sitting on my bed. What I saw was a side view. Very fair featured with long hair, all in white. The angel was sitting like one would sit on the floor with his knees bent and his arms around them. It lasted only a moment, and, it startled me considerably. As I came to full wakefulness... he was gone.

The difference was he wasn't hiding in a shape like the ones I mentioned above and he wasn't looking at me but sorta just hanging around.

Cool! That's the first time I'd seen an angel complete with white robe and wings. I've seen people who by virtue of their power I'd assume where angels in my dreams but never a "typical" angel type being before.

Its great to see that God assigns his children body guards. God is showing you even when things are calm, he still has angels there to protect. They are always ministering to us. The only time I saw these white robes angels were when I was young in the hospital. Like you the angels in my dream look like regular people. I once saw a spirit once as I turn over to my right while I was sleeping in the form of my "living" father looking at me with his arm crossed while I was sleeping. The only reason I knew he was a spirit (good or bad I don't know) is the fact that he is a bit transparent. He had the same clothes as my father and same mannerism. I'm still not 100 percent sure what this was all about. What type of spirit he was. But after seen him I turn back and went to sleep. I wasn't fearful of him though only because he resembled my father.

Sometimes when I wake at night I feel like I'm in the arms of, love (?), like there is someone wrapping there arms around me, only it's not a physical feeling. But so intense and euphoric it's almost physical, if that makes sense.

Waking up and seeing someone who wasn't there when I went to sleep suddenly there startled me. I suppose if he would have looked at me I'd have even been more startled. Didn't have any other feelings. When the appearance was gone I wasn't frightened like I might have felt if it seemed to be malignant. This didn't seem malignant and the memory is pleasant. But honestly I didn't feel anything but quite startled.

Body guards. Yeah, that sounds good. Also great that things were so quiet around me he could relax.

Yeah, I understand what you mean about the feeling. Lately, when I pray, I sense a presence in the room, very near to me...almost physical. There have been times when the presence is so strong that it freaks me out a little.

He has assigned angels to each one of us.

Psa 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
Psa 91:12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.



Hbr 1:14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

I've had my share of the negative kind... I want to be in the "company of angels" as the saying goes.

If what I've witnessed over the years is more then the imagination peaking into consciousness, then we are indeed never alone. Our bodies are spiritual temples. If God can indwell humans I suppose angels can also. Unfortunately so can devils.

If subject to an unfriendly spirits presence especially if there is a manifestation of some kind I usually get a feeling of fear. However, I resist it, and speak the word of God. And the fear is held at bay.

One night I was in the Spirit and saw demons flitting back and forth all over the world ripping people to shreds. One came up to me with its vicious intent, it was standing right over me, fear tried to usurp me, I held on to God's word and stated "God has not have given me a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind." The demon left me and I was comforted in the Spirit.

We have to stand our ground. I suppose if I didn't have the Holy Spirit I would just pass out during such experiences. Even so during that particular experience I didn't sense the Holy Spirit directly, I spoke in faith, and afterwards was comforted. I didn't even turn the light on. Just went back to sleep. However, that's not always been the case with me after dealing with demonic manifestations. I had to learn not to fear and learn to stand on God's word.

There is increased activity in all fields, as we near the final war between The Almighty in Heaven, and the Devil and His Demons. Everything is speeding up, more Dreams, Visions, Appearences, Wars, Earthquakes, Evil against Good. Activity is Abounding everywhere, You know what this means....Mrghost...

Oh, yes! Can you imagine not knowing how to handle something with unpredictable power and will. Being able to rebuke them calmly is such an amazing concept.

That's good information to keep on hand, the neutrality of the presence. We have been taught of such extremes, that it can be hard to get a grasp on the in-betweens of experiences people have. Like just seeing the being, or hearing neutral chatter.

Hi I'm new here and this is my first post just thought this topic was interesting. I always see into the spiritual world and unfortunately I've seen the bad spirits almost daily and the good not too often but more frequently than most. The one thing I didn't understand about Angels (I've seen 4 of them on seperate occations) is that the transparency doesn't make sense to me and so does the runing away part. You mentioned that yours disappeared, while mines RAN AWAY! As if they had something to hide. This made me very suspecious of them because in the Bible Paul mentions that even the Devil disgues himself as an angel of light. Here is why I don't belive the transparent angels (with wings and all).

1. They run away when you see them.
2. They are see through, when in reality they should be as bright as the Sun and full of the Glory of GOD according to the Bible.
3. They should not startle you (though I wasn't startled but I belive my visions was from a common spirit that I always battle)
4. The Devil disguses himself as Angels. Paul warned about this beware..
5. It could be a lying spirit. Remember King Ahab's death?

I have seen the souls of belivers also even myself in a vision. And we shine as bright as the sun. When a believers spirit visits me I get an overwhelming sense of power but also of peace and serenity (God is with you). There is one woman who has visited me twice and I saw her in Heaven (I had a vision of one) when I was in crisis and she was praying for me. I dont know this woman or where she came from.. for a long time I thought she was a real angel but I now think she is a beliver somwhere with the gift of tounges able to interceede and travel here and there. Though she is not aware of it. This is just my opion about tounges, it doesn't say anything like that in the Bible. But I"m really curious as to who this mystery woman is. Maybe she is a beliver who died some time ago and lives in heaven and intercedes for me as my personal angel? Who knows...

I belive I have seen Jesus as well. I couldn't see his face because it was overwhlmingly white and bright but I belive him to be Jesus. He was much much more powerful that the woman who I spoke about. And there was an incident the time I saw him which makes me belive it was Him but who knows?

Blien, thanks for talking about your experiences, especially being in a new group of people and taking that risk.

My theories shift sometimes on what supernatural entity is what, but generally I think that the angels of light you described are a lot more common than we will admit. Satan prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may destroy... why not use fallen angels.

Whether demons are fallen angels or not, and whether ghosts are demons... and whether images of deceased people are ghosts or demons or some other type of spirit... we can't know for sure, but we can be cautious.

I agree with you that if one runs away, it is probably not an angel of God -- scripturally they are mighty and confident. And some have such powers that impact a whole region at a time.

I have been hearing a lot of stories this month of people seeing angelic spirits, that don't appear to be of God, so I am a little edgey now... concerned that people will jump and follow, assuming that it's of God because it's so out of the ordinary. It sounds like you have been wise and discerning so far.

Do you have any tricks to keeping a level head on this?​

My only trick is this. Ask God. lol! Seriously, thats all that works. I've been decived for a while now by one spirit who I thought was and Angel of God.

Thats why I mentioned my last point about the lying spirit. Beware.. they are as bright as the real ones. He decived me because at first he rebuked me for not dealing with my pride (i heard his voice) and then later I he asked me about what I thought about a coworker of mine (again I heard his voice, he asked if I liked her or not). It was a unholy conversation lets just leave it at that. But I mistook it as a "typical guy's conversation with God". So from these 2 conversations which happened in a week which some fellow christians told me the last one was not right. I approached God and He pointed me to the death of Ahab.. which brought everything into perspective. This same spirit I spoke to once long before, I asked him "is Jesus Lord?" as it says to do in the Bible and he smiled then ran away! I didn't know what that meant.. but now I know since he didn't answer me, he's a foe. It didn't return to me for months until this week.

I wouldn't at all consider myself wise and discrning. If anything I am a foolish man who needs as much help as he needs from God everyday. I found out all these things because of much pain and suffering. It makes me real happy though to share my experiances with you all and tell you what I discovered wither you decide to follow them or not. Asking God is only solution.... i do belive I have the gift of discernment though.. could be wrong.

What I like about your story, is that it is very matter-of-fact to you, that you have seen both... and don't appear to be threatened for having made a mistake.

The spirit that you realized was deceptive reminds me of a near-death story I heard, where a few of these angels led the person throught the tunnel of light, and then gradually started clawing at them and harassing. What a frightful turn of events... it makes my stomach churn.

I had one come to me years ago, which I couldn't see, but was trying to tempt me to believe that I had some special reincarnation connection with the Piet Mondriaan, while I was at a gallery with much of Mondriaan's work.

It followed me for a while, and started planting all sorts of strange ideas in my head, things that never would have occurred to me. I was not interested in reincarnation theories, so I knew it wasn't just my head wishing for favor and association. And I had an epiphany sort of experience at the gallery, that I thought was of God... realizing certain things about the painter's work. It was very curious, very unusual to my usually thought patterns.

And yes, it left when I rebuked it... I was relieved that I'd get a decent night's sleep, but also had that tidbit of curiousity that maybe I was wrong.

I have felt that clawing many many times. Its the worst feeling ever but there is worse which was this sharp stabbing. What a terrible thing to hear that when you think you are going to heaven suddenly you get wounded..

For a period of time Satan had control over me and manipulated me in the worst ways.. when I gave my life to Christ all of that went away but I am still traumatized by the experience. It's too bad that you had to endure it so long. That's all the more reason to keep giving the tools to people, to set others free. Sometimes people accustomed to spiritual warfare forget that it's foreign to others, or they just need reminding and reassurance that we do have authority and can confidently rebuke them, with Jesus backing us up.

One time after a death in the household, it felt like a dark spirit was looming in the upstairs hall. I slept downstairs for a week and even resisted taking showers upstairs. Then I remembered I could just tell it to leave. It was gone in an instant.

People could argue that it's superstition or the brain playing sick games, but these occurrences are so widespread that we can't just ignore them.

Yeah it's so sad that there is no information about this in the world. They are all enclosed in the perspective of what the world is like blinded by the devil when they haven't discovered the missing half of it. Feeling as if its beyond their reach...

Thanks for pointing that out.. when I speak about spiritual warfare people just don't know how to respond. Even Christians at times which always made me wonder why Christians don't they know? How do they speak to God and not know?? Now I understand so I am really in deep gratitude to you Heron!

The whole interaction with the spiritual world has become so second nature that its part of my daily life now. I pick up things about people and situations very quickly because I see the other half of what is going on.. but when I try to explain this to someone they get lost or just don't believe because its way over their head. I want to write about about all this and what I get from it.. but I dont know if it will be good enough.

Anyway, good talking to you. I really hope I can be as strong as you one day not timid and Bold as a Lion.

I don't suppose angels of God would "run away from you" (unless on an errand... "sorry got to run") on the other hand there are many accounts in scripture where the children of God are overwhelmed and afraid when they encounter and angel of God. When in the spirit, I believe we encounter the great power of a spirit of God (angel) and it is overwhelming.

If suddenly I notice someone sitting on my bed, it is no wonder that I might be startled by the appearance. That is normal. Nothing to be ashamed of. Neither is it unusual to be frightened by the appearance and power of an angel. It is often the case recorded in scripture.
