  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Mss, maybe you have seen an angel and just didn't know. But then we probably all have. Praise God for sending one to protect your husband. We serve an awesome God! :amen: Thanks so much for sharing this. God bless.

Your right Joy,I beleive there have been many, many times when God has had his hand on me and saved me out`ve many situations of disaster.Car accidents and many other things in my life.I just haven`t seen an angel, but like you said I probably have seen one that I didn`t know was one.
Although one time at church I was worshiping and I felt a hand on my shoulder for a few minutes.I thought it was my daughter in law and when I opened my eyes she was gone.I later asked her and my husband who was on the other side and neither had so,I always felt that the Lord had His hand on me,so I guess it would`ve been an angel.right?I thought of that after I had wrote this in here last night.

No one had posted in a while so I thought I'd post another from the Bible. :)

Genesis 22:11-19

11. And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

12. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

13. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

14. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

15. And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,

16. And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

17. That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

18. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
19. So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.

I was driving home from a meeting this evening about 5, stuck in traffic on Colorado Blvd., and my car started to choke and splutter and die, I barely managed to coast into a gas station, glad only that I would not be blocking traffic and would have a somewhat warm spot to wait for the tow truck. It wouldn't even turn over. Before I could make the call, I saw a woman walking out of the "quickie mart" building, and it looked like she had perhaps slipped on some ice and fell, so I got out to see if she was okay.

When I got there, it looked more like she had been overcome by sobs than that she had fallen; she was a young woman who looked really haggard with dark circles under her eyes. She dropped something as I helped her up, I picked it up to give it to her.. it was a nickel.

At that moment, everything came into focus for me: the crying woman, the ancient Suburban crammed full of stuff with 3 kids in the back (1 in a car seat), and the gas pump reading $4.95.

I asked her if she was okay and if she needed help, and she just kept
saying " don't want my kids to see me crying," so we stood on the other side of the pump from her car. She said she was driving to California and things were very hard for her right now. So I asked, "And you were praying?" That made her back away from me a little, but I assured her I was not a crazy person and said, "He heard you, and He sent me."

I took out my card and swiped it through the card reader on the pump so she could fill up her car completely, and while it was fueling, walked next door to a McDonald's and bought 2 big bags of food, some gift certificates for more, and a big cup of coffee. She gave the food to the kids in the car, who attacked it like wolves, and we stood by the pump eating fries and talking a little.

She told me her name, and that she lived in Kansas City. Her boyfriend left 2 months ago and she had not been able to make ends meet. She knew she wouldn't have money to pay rent Jan 1, and finally in desperation finally called her parents, with whom she had not spoken in about 5 years. They lived in California and they said she could come live with them and try to get on her feet there.

So she packed up everything she owned in the car. She told the kids they were going to California for Christmas, but not that they were going to live there.

I gave her my gloves, a little hug and said a quick prayer with her for safety on the road. As I was walking over to my car, she said, "So, are you like an angel or something?"

This definitely made me cry. I said, "Sweetie, at this time of year angels are really busy, so sometimes God uses regular people."

It was so incredible to be a part of someone else's divine intervention. And of course, you guessed it, when I got in my car it started right away and got me home with no problem. I'll put it in the shop tomorrow to check, but I suspect the mechanic won't find anything wrong.

Sometimes angels fly close enough to you that you can hear the flutter
of their wings...

He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

One time we were Street witnessing,my friend had a white board and he was talking to some Muslim guys they had formed a semi circle around him and the board and behind him was this big bald guy, guy in a Scottish rugby jersey, he looked like Braveheart on Steroids.
My friend called out does anyone know what 'Jesus did for them' I thought this guy was going to attack my friend, so i was getting ready go up and tackle him I was freaking out.
He said "HE DIED FOR OUR TRANGRESSIONS!!!" in a big Braveheart on steroids like voice. It was cool.
I don't know if he was big Scot or an Angel of God, but i turned around about 5 second later and he had gone, it was a very open place.

Either way it was cool.

OK, I had to get in on this one. I saw one. I think.

Short version - I had a dream about the rapture. It was one of those dreams that stays with you for life. (I can close my eyes and still see it. . .) I have come to the conclusion that it was a vision, rather than a dream. Here's why:

In the dream, the only person I specifically remember was an older gentleman, wearing a fishing hat, flannel shirt, khakis, and penny loafers, no socks. He was a sweet man, and we spoke heart to heart (no spoken words) for a long time. He told me it was time to "go back," and I remember my heart breaking, wanting to stay. He said that I would be back, and never have to leave again. He placed his hand on my head, blessing me. When I opened my eyes, I was back home in bed. Cool dream, I thought.

Then, over six years later, I met a friend, Pauline. I had written out the dream, but not really described the man very well. Just he was an older man with a flannel shirt. She read it and came back to me shaken. She described him perfectly, down to the "no socks." She even got the color of the shirt right. Her husband had died six months before, and this man had come to her three or four times in the weeks that followed, never saying anything, but giving her comfort and assurance that her husband was fine. The last time he came, she spoke to him, and he just smiled, waved, and opened her bedroom door, disappearing down the hall. She chased after him, but he was gone.

As if that's not convincing enough, Pauline's daughter went to that revival down in Florida. While there, she met a young woman who had been in some way rescued by, you guessed it, an older man, flannel shirt, fishing hat, no socks, etc.

Reading the Bible, almost every encounter with angels resulted in someone fainting in fear. Maybe God is making angels a little less frightening these days??? :D:D:D:D
