I've written my first practical android app

Doesn't do much, but...
1) Android Part works
2) It will save me lots of hassles later at work.

What does it do you ask ???
It Contacts Home Server, gets a list of shippers that have been shipped that day.
Displays Shipper IDs by Number with Checkboxes.
Allows you to select where they were delivered to at the Customer's location. (Shipping Receiving, Hand Delivery to person, security , ect)
Then tell the home server to send off a report letting them know what was delivered where.

Cool! How easy did you find building your android app? Did you learn the software from scratch or are you already familiar with it?

I came across it last week and have downloaded Eclipse and the AVD, SDK Manager, but I'll be starting from scratch in terms of going through the tutorials.

Still tweeking it and getting ready to build version 2. (Better interface, more functions, ect)

I've done a bit of coding for a while, but not much Java, but switching from C# to Java itself isn't too hard, the main pain is the ins & outs of the Android itself.

Still have a long way to go before I start building any 3D FPS Games though
