I detect your desire to pursue this issue by the numbers...
Here is another example of Right handed islamic superstitions. "When putting on clothing, muslims must start with the Right side. That means Right sleeves and Right pant legs go on first (and go off last). (Abudawud, Book 32, Hadith 4129)"
if only muslims would follow their prophets desires, their luck should change.

If you had read the entire hadith you would have found it was about performing ablutions.

I don't know what you are getting from that hadith, but there are four ahadith in a row which speaks of the Prophet turning his cloak inside out before he started his prayer. Only one of them mention anything about the right or left side, nor is there any explanation as to why he did this with his cloak.
