I've seen a bunch of movies and music that I could definately claim as also being a favorite.

I completely forgot about The Game, which is one my husband and I's favorite movies ever. It was a brilliant movie!!! I can't believe I forgot that one on the list!!

There were several others I saw that I also like alot. A Big Fat Greek Wedding was another. And Amedeus! Brilliant movie! and Ferris Beuller's Day Off. that was such a great movie. Oh, and The Breakfast Club! I better stop now...the movie list could get way too long. I love movies!

thanks guys for listing everything! It's been great seeing what everyone's reading, listening too, and watching!

I never did list books. I'd prefer to do authors.....

Dick Francis(he does awesome mysteries, all pertaining to horses, horsepeople, horsetracks etc. Best mystery writer I've ever read. Period)

Dean Koontz
Stephen King
Jean M. Aul
I can't remember the guy's name who wrote the "All creatures Great and Small" series...but those were great books!
John Grisham
J.R.R. Tolken
C.S. Lewis
I can't believe it ( I'm having a complete brain cramp!!!) but the "Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" author.

I know I'm forgetting a few others. I mainly like fiction. I read for intertainment. I have to admit. I don't get into non-fiction at all... It's work for me to pick up a theological author and read......worth it, but still work.

I read a lot of history and theology. I really haven't read much fiction since highschool English classes.

My favorite Historians:

David H. Fischer
Francis J. Bremer
George Marsden
Mark Noll
Richard Ketchum
Stephen Brumwell
Fred Anderson

Some of my favorite fiction authors are:

Joseph Conrad: "Youth," "Victory"
Charles Dickens: "Our Mutual Friend," "A Tale of Two Cities"
James F. Cooper: "The Spy," "The Last of the Mohicans," "The Pathfinder"
Kenneth Roberts: "Northwest Passage," "Arundel"
Robert Louis Stevenson: "Kidnapped," "The Black Arrow," "Treasure Island"
Ambrose Bierce: Civil War short stories
Jack London: "The Sea Wolf"

With the ridiculous length of my previous music list, I wouldn't have thought it possible, but I actually left out some of my favorites! There will probably be more to follow after this list too.. :D

Bob Dylan
Cheap Trick
The Jam
Juliana Hatfield
Gladhands (La Di Da is perhaps the greatest power-pop album that was never heard on the radio)
Adam Again (especially their album Perfecta)
Vigilantes of Love (great Christian-informed rock and "alt-country")
Mark Heard (one of the absolute BEST Christian songwriters, sadly overlooked... Dry Bones Dance is a stellar album)
New York Dolls
The Smiths

I remember when I was a teen that came out and I actually convinced my big brother to take me to see it. I'll always love that movie not only because it's hilarious, but also because it's one of the few times I got to "hang out" with my totally cool big bro!!!

My absolutely favorite movie is Cromwell, starring Richard Harris. If you haven't seen it, it is absolutely a must see for every Protestant (and especially every true Calvinist)!

I'll add that to my list of movies....!
