The earth was cleansed with water and soon many believe the earth will be cleansed by fire. When I was first saved it was as if I was on fire for God as He cleanses us of unGodlyness. Numbers 31 23everything that can withstand the fire— must be put through the fire, and it will be clean. But it must still be purified with the water of purification. And everything that cannot withstand the fire must pass through the water. That is when Peter said..."Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
It will be, in the end.The earth was cleansed with water and soon many believe the earth will be cleansed by fire.
When I was first converted, all my unGodliness was cleansed by the waters of my baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins. (Acts 2:38)When I was first saved it was as if I was on fire for God as He cleanses us of unGodlyness.

1 Peter 1:7 says, "Your faith will be like gold that has been tested in a fire".
I was in a Baptist church for a while but it seems like they preach the same sermon over and over again. When I was first converted, all my unGodliness was cleansed by the waters of my baptism
Yes, I found a church where the worship was a lot better and the teaching was more bible based. I could pretty much attend any church. They are not that much different.Did you move on, to find something better ?
And I have shown to all what Acts 1:5 for John indeed BAPTIZED with WATER // HUDOR , BUT you will be will beYou don't have any verses that say water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins is now unnecessary.
Once you start asking questions, the differences will be revealed.Yes, I found a church where the worship was a lot better and the teaching was more bible based. I could pretty much attend any church. They are not that much different.
No, preachers baptize using water, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins. (Acts 2:38, 22:16)And I have shown to all what Acts 1:5 for John indeed BAPTIZED with WATER , BUT you will be will be
BAPTIZED with Holy Spirit not many of these days AFTER ..
# 1 DOES the Holy Spirit BAPTIZE with WATER TODAY ??
The Methodist Church is suppose to follow the teachings of John Wesley but they don't really. Jesus warns us if we follow someone's teaching we will repeat their mistakes and then some.Once you start asking questions, the differences will be revealed.
And you are saying that Acts 2:38 is for today , just asking ??No, preachers baptize using water, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins. (Acts 2:38, 22:16)
If the repentance from sin was real, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, also called the gift of the Holy Ghost, will be given after water baptism.
Just as Peter portrayed it in Acts 2:38..."Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
1, 2, 3.
I attended a church where the pastor wanted to catch up to the level of the early church. Today we try to go beyond what they were able to do.And you are saying that Acts 2:38 is for today , just asking ??
Can you reply to the question , PLEASE ?I attended a church where the pastor wanted to catch up to the level of the early church. Today we try to go beyond what they were able to do.
Yes if course Acts 2:38 is for today. Forever and always. It takes more then to get dunked in the water though. In fact I left the Baptist Church because they would not Baptize my son. Baptism in the Anglo tradition means that all of the church and God parents do all they can to raise a child in the love of God.
Unfortunately, Wesley started out with the right ideas, but ended up blending in with the other false prophets. The Methodist Church is suppose to follow the teachings of John Wesley but they don't really. Jesus warns us if we follow someone's teaching we will repeat their mistakes and then some.
Wesley began the Holiness teaching but people did not believe they could live sin free. His argument was what sin is God not able to deliver us from. I think the issue is people do not really want to live free from sin. Look at alcoholics for example. Usually only 10% are able to sober up and stay off of the alcohol.Unfortunately, Wesley started out with the right ideas
Some did.Wesley began the Holiness teaching but people did not believe they could live sin free.
Bingo !His argument was what sin is God not able to deliver us from. I think the issue is people do not really want to live free from sin.
Man can do whatever he really wants.Look at alcoholics for example. Usually only 10% are able to sober up and stay off of the alcohol.

Water baptism symbolizes purification, renewal, and admission into the faith. For Christians, it represents the washing away of sin, a public declaration of faith, and the believer's identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s like a tangible expression of an inner transformation and a commitment to live a life of faith.
Psalm 51:16-17, where David says:
"For you do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise."
David emphasizes that God values genuine repentance and humility over ritual sacrifices.
