The statement of purpose in this Forum: "This is a place where members can discuss why they hold controversial unorthodox theologies to be in error and at odds with orthodox Christian theology," BUT, it also states "This forum is for discussing and debating topics that do not directly oppose the Nicene Creed" Now, I am confused, can anybody help explain?

IF I bring up a permitted/allowed "Controversial/Unorthodox" Bible Doctrine "that I hold, and why I hold it," BUT, IF it "directly opposes the Nicene Creed," I will be "banned" because it is not permitted/allowed? Makes no sense ):

I am from the Midwest, so, I am definitely CORNfused...HELP! :) And, God Bless any who will...

The "litmus test" established by CF for participating in the "Christians Only" forums is adherence to the Nicene Creed. Logically, there has to be some sort of benchmark or just anyone could claim to be "Christian" by their own definition of the word. But it's only about those forums that are so designated. We have many non-Christians and Atheists who are welcome to participate in other discussions.

I'm trying to think of an example that would meet both conditions. I'm not sure if this one works, but I'll throw it out there.

You can discuss various heretical notions of the Trinity, but you can't promote the claim that the orthodox rendering is false.

At the "risk of a Christian being banned" my problem is not with the first 38,
Nor 40-41 points of the "creed" but, seems to me #39:

"I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins**. (Ephesians 4:5; Acts 2:38)"
** May be interpreted as baptism is a matter of obedience and not a
requirement for salvation or as a regenerating ordinance."

to be a "loaded" statement, i.e: It Could be interpreted TWO Different ways,
Depending
On "Which Scriptures" are used to "present one's view."
So with all Due Respect And Love, IF I may - I see THREE possibilities?:

Orthodox?
(1) "I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins" = water For salvation
(Acs 2:38; Luk 7:29-30, Luk 1:4; Mrk 16:16 KJB!)
{Roman catholic, church of Christ,
et al?} I "do acknowledge" this, but, only "for the Previous Dispensation Of the Law."

(2) ** May be interpreted as baptism is a matter of obedience and not a
requirement for salvation or as a regenerating ordinance. {Protestants,
non-denoms?} I used to agree with this.

My current UNorthodox{?} "view" at the "risk of being banned"?:
Not
"adhering to the Nicene Creed"?:

(3) "I acknowledge ONE Baptism for the remission of sins" =
Under The Current "Dispensation Of God's GRACE," my salvation
being "GRACE Through faith," That This "ONE Baptism" would refer
To:

"By ONE Spirit are we all Baptized Into ONE Body, whether we be
Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all
made to drink into ONE Spirit!"
(1 Cor 12:13 with "corroboration from":
Eph 4:5; Rom 6:3-6; Gal 3:27 KJB!)

So, Albion you "see Why I do Agree With The WORDING" of the statement,
IF "my sins were Forgiven Concurrent/after" This Baptism {God's
OPERATION
!} Was Performed On me, however:

I would have to Disagree IF "my sins were Forgiven BEFORE"
The OPERATION, Correct?

Now that I have "discussed what is not permitted," I expect I will be
hearing from the moderators shortly, about my "IF I am banned, I am banned." :(
{in which case, Great Discussion, and, good-bye Precious friend.}

Albion, Thanks So Much For your "help" in This Important Matter,
And May God Bless you And yours VERY RICHLY!
See you In
HIS Great GloryLand! ♫ :amen:

Precious friend, Thanks So Much for your help - the one item that I had
"trouble" with seems to be "clearing up" for me, after my above "discussion."
God Bless!

"This forum is for discussing and debating topics that do not directly oppose the Nicene Creed"

It's not worded correctly. You are welcome as long as you don't argue against the Nicene Creed or create a topic that challenges the creed.
