Seeing another thread here just kind of sparked my memory regarding a dream I had a long time ago. I must have been about 18. This was before I was saved, back when I was actually an atheist. I had no real biblical knowledge and especially no biblical interest. This dream resulted in me waking up in a panic, and it shook me pretty hard. Nevertheless I dismissed it as fantasy and went about my life. Here it is, as best as I can remember it.

I remember being with my family, including my mom, my sister, my dad, and my grand parents, I think. We were in a room I've never seen before, and I got the impression it was basement. It was a finished basement and it had those small rectangular windows whereby you could see outside.

I remember that we were all huddled up together as if we were in the midst of a tornado. There was a sense of perplexity and intense fear, no one knew what was going on. I remember that it was daylight outside, but something was terribly wrong and we all knew it. As I looked out the window (this part I remember vividly) I witnessed the sun slowly turn pitch black, and the room started shaking. Here is where it gets really weird.

Remember, when I had this dream I was an atheist. But for some reason, in this dream, I was the one aware of what was going on. I don't remember everything I said, but I do remember telling my family that they needed Jesus. I remember leading them to salvation, as the whole room was shaking like we were in a massive earthquake.

The sun was black, everything was shaking, everyone was paralysed with fear, and I was leading them to the Lord. During this a blinding white light shone through the windows and lit everything. The shaking got more and more intense and the light expanded and got brighter and brighter until it filled absolutely everything. All I could see was this light, then I woke up.

This is not the only apocalyptic dream I've had, but it was significant in that I was an unbeliever in real life, yet I seemed to be a believer in the dream. I think this dream may have been in some way prophetic, at least for me personally. I don't know. It seems these end-of-the-world dreams and becoming more and more common with more and more people. Even a few of my unsaved friends have had strikingly similar dreams.

What do you all think? Have you ever had a dream like this?

I didnt mention here but i also had either a vision or a dream, im not sure of me being somewehre and I looked straight ahead and i saw a billboard (im not sure what was on it, i cant remember) but I saw a light shining down from above. The light was brighter than the sun! Then i looked up and its like... have you ever seen star trek when the ships go to warp speed? It was like that, like the stars all wooshing by me and all.

That's an astonishing dream for an atheist to have. The Lord has His hand on you for good. Be sure to attend to the calling He has designed for you. There is a lot of power that He wants you to tap into.

I have had apocalyptic types dreams but not one like this. After sharing some of my dreams with one of my former pastors and best friends he confided in me a dream that was quite similar to yours. He has not spoken it to many people.

In his dream he was with a small group of believers and friends, then their was a mushroom cloud on the horizon and an overwhelming sense of evil. They ran down to take shelter in the basement just in time and were protected while the world around them was consumed in almost a storm of evil. They could hear it all around them, but they knew they were safe. Then opened the door after it had passe and everything was right again, it was gone.

I have had dreams about God's judgement. I have figured out totally what it all means, but I assume that is because God has not revealed it to me because it isn't quite time. I think it is close whatever is going down.

I had a dream while I was an atheist that i was on my bed which was placed in the middle of the room. It was almost like a boat because there was a sea of demons all around me. the only other thing in the room was a dresser with a bible on it. I was trying desperately to reach the bible because I knew it was the only thing that would save me from the demons, but my bed kept moving farther and farther from it. when I woke up I thought " why would i reach for a bible, I don't even believe in god?" It would be quite a few years afterwards that I would find god.
I always have apocalyptic dreams now, that's pretty much all I dream about. sometimes its floods, sometimes huge volcanic eruptions, war, chemical and viral warfare, atomic bombs, and sometimes zombies lol. i have grown use to them, so they don't scare me anymore. In these dreams Im always with a survivor group but no one I personally know.
