An Odd question...

Hello,

Ok, I have an odd question, hope you don't mind

Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons? I just wonder what their bodies looked like. It says that God created man in the image of himself. Woman was created from the rib of man. That indicates to me that Eve was created in the image of man. Man had a rib, which is a indication that it was a human body. Then that would mean that God had a human body, right?



Well, I just thought of another question while I was typing this question, might not be so odd though

When God created the heavens and earth was the angels around...for example Satan (Lucifer, think that is his real name?)? Maybe what I'm trying to figure out is the time line of when man was created vs the angels. Where did the angels come from anyhow? .....ok, Im rambling here, I better stop here

The angels came from Heaven, satan was one of Gods angels and was casted out of Heaven to the earth. As far as how long before man was created were there angels? I dont know that answer. Satan when he was casted out of heaven took 1/3rd? of the Angels with him..

Ok, so angels came after Heaven was created. I knew that Satan was cast out of Heaven along with 1/3rd of the angels. How are angels differ from the souls of humans? Once we get to Heaven does that mean the souls are turned into angels? Or, are they two different things?

No, They/We are definatly two different things...

How are we different?
It's what we were created for, our porpose.. Choose god, and worship him with every part of our selves... they serve and carry out godly "things" (Messengers) this is how we differ.. physical/spiritual differences really don't matter, the bible doesn't give alot to go on anyway, so don't get your faith tangled up in/over such matters, they mean little in the true scope of things..

Regarding Adam/Eve and bellybuttons, who knows? This is a common question, and we will never know. But God is not a man. He doesn't have a "body". We are made in His image, meaning we have an eternal soul. Angels are not created in God's image, but they do have free will. They are created beings and Lucifer, the most beautiful creature God ever created with special access to God's throne, wanted to be like God. Pride was his downfall. He wanted to exalt himself ABOVE God. So God cast him down out of heaven and Lucifer took 1/3 of the angels with him when he convinced them to rebel as well. Satan means "accuser", so his name changed when he chose to rebel.

We will not be angels in heaven. We were made with a special purpose to serve God and know him. Angels have limited powers and are messengers/servants of God. We (believers) will actually be above angels in heaven and will judge them (see 1 Corin 6:2-4 below):

2Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

Isn't that incredible? Saints here refers to all Christians. Not the Catholic Saints (with a capital "S"). Just to clarify.

Hope this helps shine a little light. The Bible doesn't say that much about angels. But it gives us a glimpse.

We were made in God's image. Not physical but His attributes. Spiritual, emotional. We are creative beings, God is the ultimate creative being. We have the ability to love, God is love.

As for the Angels question. God is outside of time. Time is for our benefit not His. He did make the angels first but we are his prized possetion. That's why satan hates us and wants to destroy us. He has no aurthority over us though, infact god has given us authority over him.

If I would have realized this before I probably wouldn't have had that belly button thought . Makes more sense that we were made in the image of His attributes.

So, I am putting to much emphasis on little details...like who was made first man or angels? Its just not important to know?

I wondered about who was first cause angels jobs were to be messengers for God. Man was for companionship for God...for us to worship and honor Him. If those two things are correct, then there is society in heaven?

about angels, we know they were created first. Satan (an angel) was cast out of heaven. We then see him talking to eve in the garden. Goin by this we know he existed first. So humans cant have come before angels or satan wouldnt have been in the garden to tempt eve.

Belly buttons. I would assume they didnt have belly buttons. They didnt come from a womb so they wouldnt have a need for them. Adam was created out of dust.

By the way, Not odd questions at all. Many people have thought about these things.
