An inquisitive mind being decieved

Just what do you say in answer to the posts on a thread such as this?

I get very frustrated, because there are answers to every one of the comments here, but where do you start?

No offense, but when someone asks why christians keep Sunday worship...I see that they are searching for truth, and then the OP is bombarded with misinterpreted bible texts, and then thanks everyone for clarifying their queary.

I shake my head with a sigh of grief.

i totally know what your talking about Bon. it's like too many people who are inquisitive are people that a lot of believers think they need to be corrected. that is my main problem. i put things that is asking a question, or maybe trying to put a post about something that maybe i feel and instead when others dont' understand it, they just it isn't worth hearing about, or they try to show some set way that i need to think and i get tired of that stuff, for i am not asking them to correct me, i just want Divine Dialogue with Christians, Jews, or whoever is seeking God, and seek things out together as community, even if it is online. maybe i'm weird, but i don't care.

in fact, a lot of us here in MJ are inquisitive and old at the same time

i know your feeling there. i once had this new convert to Christianity have the gull to me that i couldn't have possibly come to the faith at 12 years old. it really made me mad, but i kept my cool. now i'm 22, and that doesn't mean a thing. if someone young or old seeks things out, they have juset a reliable argument for something just as someone else does.

You know we are to witness ....and sometimes, it is nothing more that seeing.....then other times it is voicing the Words of God before the unbelievers and deceivers.

I find that witnessing among ourselves is the last thing we need to do.

Testimonies, yes, Teaching, yes, Instructing, yes, Prophecyings, yes, Studying together, yes. I am glad to see the "scouts" are on the look out for those who are being lead astray. I am glad for the "report back" and I am glad for the encouragement to go out and witness to the Word fo Truth as it is found in Yeshua.

It is the pointing fingers and going "tst tst tst" that I would like to discourage.

Neh -- considering that so many people come in here to just "read" I see value in witnessing among ourselves and affirming what we believe and why. Which is why I don't think that unfounded accusations against MJforum members should go unchallenged and everyone sit on their hands until a mod can come run interference -- they are busy, too. We posters all have some responsibility here to speak the Truth as best we can do so, and try to answer for ourselves and our forum if we can. So promoting what we believe and why, here among ourselves, is not exactly a bad thing, IMHO.

That was badly worded. I did not mean witness the truth. I was more about witness as in "gossip". My apologies for the bad wording.

Ohhhh, I getcha. ITA, then. It surprised me to hear someone would think the shema and v'ahavta are not in the "Old Testament" but, it made sense then when I read the further posts.
